Drudge report is showing he has it.
57% vote \'yes\' for recall...47% for Schwarzenegger, 34% for Bustamante
This is just down right sad.
-
Seriously, shit like this will be the ruin of the US
-
If he was in 0 movies. No one even think about voting for him, sad But true.

Seriously, shit like this is what makes the US the US

Well, I can\'t deny the fact that this IS Arnold Schwarzenegger, that this alone helped him win the election. But if you actually listen to him talk, he is very intelligent. As opposed to the Barbara Strisands or the Gene Garafolo in Hollywood.
And this recall would\'ve NEVER happened if Davis was a competent governor. Well, don\'t let the door hit you on the way out DUFUS!
-
I voted for him as he was the best candidate, if I had two votes I would have voted for Arnie and Camejo, but I don\'t. This is the first time my candidate won, so the beers are on me.
-
California has been TERMINATED.
-
I\'m embarrassed for us all.
-
Word on da streetz is the vatos love Arnie.
-
I love how people put down Arnold without knowing anything about him, "he\'s a muscle bound actor, he must be retarded!"...ugh, I sometimes hate the world and the closed minded people.
*runs away and sodomizes Cruz Bustamante
edit*
I\'m not aiming this at anyone on here, I was pretty much letting out my anger from an earlier argument.
-
And Arnold has a master degree in ECONOMICS! Dumb?

So are we going to have another recall in 100 days? Everything points in that direction.
There is absolutely no way that Arnold will be able to do anything with the government. He has a democratic governemtn around him that absolutely hates the fact that he is in. And he made some of the most ludicrous promises. I mean the thought of not cutting budgets on things such as education when that is far and above the most heavily funded thing the government has to pay for. Of course he is going to have to cut some. He is going to end up pissing a lot of people off if he is to really get the budget back on track.

I don\'t think anyone is saying he is stupid. He is obviously a great businessman. But did anyone even watch the debates? Did he really say anything? Does anyone have a clue how he is going to fix the problems your state is facing?
-
Do any pols say anything?

The problem with another "recall" is...
A: Davis set a NEW low during his election (low voter turnout). So, the threshold was VERY low when he was elected.
and
B: Currently, we are recalled out. If the Democrats even try another recall, expect a MAJOR backlash.
As for Schwarzenegger pissing off people, he already did. Simply by having a D after his name. Don\'t expect the liberals and the far leftist to ever be on his side. Now, there are people expecting miracles, which is unfortenete. But...just give him time and a chance to see what he does.
-
Schwarzenegger is probably the most Liberal Republican in office to this day. A lot of his views side with Democratic ideals and that\'s why a lot of people aren\'t having a hard time voting for a Republican, even if they are Democrats. What\'s most important to me, a college student, is that he sees that education is one thing this state should not cut back from in any capacity. It\'s not the schools that go constantly over budget, it\'s the schools who could use a ton more money just to get some facilities that are decently up to date. I\'m glad Arnold actually sees this and it\'s unfortunate many of you, especially those of you who don\'t even live in California, don\'t see this. Most of you see Scwarzenegger and think of Terminator and Predator -- but do any of you actually know how he lives his life outside of grabbing women and starring in high budget summer blockbusters?
Seriously here, why not just let the guy try and do his job and see what happens?

No, I see that fact that he is even in office ridiculous. California made their bed when they voted Davis in office the first time and they should have to lay in it.
How someone can elect a person who rarely if EVER gave any specifics on what he was going to do in office is beyond me. Do you think anyone would elect Joe Schmoe off the street if he had the same credentials(educational/business) and said the same things as Arnold did during his campaing? Hell muthaf*cking no.
-
Gohan, I think you\'re missing what Arnold stands for. He offers hope to the voting public of California, he\'s not the career politician we\'re all used to. Instead of coming in and doing what he can to not get bad publicity, he\'s actually hoping to make changes for the better. Most politicians make promises to the public to get voted in, "solve" one big problem so that they can use it in their next campaign and move on to bigger and better things. Arnold isn\'t doing this to further his political career, he honestly wants to make the State better for everyone, whether or not he actually accomplishes it or not, atleast we have someone who is trying, in office.
-
Right, he wants to make the state better...... by doing what? Giving illegals liscences? Or did that already happen

For your sake, I seriously hope that wasn\'t some really stupid racist comment.
-
How is that a racist comment? THat\'s been all over the news about illegals getting licenses.
-
Never heard anything about that. I love how California\'s politics and ideas have enraptured the nation however. Funny stuff. :)

You\'re still repeating all the hollow promises that Schwartzenegger has been stating throughout this absurdly short campaign. You say "He offers hope," "he\'s not the career politician," "He\'s hoping to make changes for the better"
You state his INTENTIONS, (as if you can even be certain you know them) but you don\'t state WHAT exactly he\'s going to do to bring them about. WHY? Because you don\'t know. You don\'t know any better than the rest of us do. You blindly trust him, while the rest of us become suspicious at his reticence.
Maybe you think Gray Davis was so awful that anyone would be better. You don\'t stop to consider that many of the problems conservatives conveniently blame on Davis were not his personal fault. You don\'t consider that an individual with no exposure to the public sector, and no experience governing might be worse than Gray Davis. There\'s more to doing that job than just your beliefs. Like every other extremely difficult position in this world, it helps to KNOW WHAT THE FVCK YOU\'RE DOING.
I can\'t understand how your standards for selecting the leader of our state government can be so low.
-
First of all, Arnold has already stated that he is going to undertake a serious learning regime so that he can get the basics, and he\'s going to surround himself with people who can answer anything he doesn\'t know. Also, people seem to think that a leadership role is one that needs to be learned, a Governor or President is more of person who is presented with the ideas from his staff, then decides which is the best idea and procedes with it. It\'s not like he is going to be pressed to imediatly learn molecular biology.
As for Davis, he isn\'t responsible for what happend during his 5 years in office? Well I would hope that a governor would have more control over his state, and not let it fall apart under his nose. Also, being able to balance a check book couldn\'t hurt.
To the comment about the illegals. That was Davis and Ariana Huffington who wanted to give the illegals a Drivers License, Arnold was firmly against it, because of security reasons.

How about we make a bet?
100 bucks he sucks, 100 bucks he does a good job.
Eh? Hell- a blowjob from sammy too.
-
If this board is still around in a couple of years, what will be the criteria to judge who wins the bet?
-
I dont know much about politricks
We should have a cashpool and everything- that would be really cool.
List some criteria that might work.
-
only way I can think of is base it on aproval rating
-
I\'ll just tell you who won. Send me the money.

*mails money to Vid

You know who must really be pissed off is Arnie\'s agent. 10% of nothing is nothing.
-
Personally, I think the idea of the recall was ignorant in the first place. Cali just re-elected Gray Davis, what a year ago? Come on. You can\'t demand a recall everytime your offical proves to be an idiot - espically when you just re-elected the man.
As for Arnold . I have a problem taking him serious. He has no career experience in politics , all he has is his name and reputation. I\'m not saying he won\'t be a good Governer, I\'m just saying I wouldn\'t trust someone with no prior political career to be in charge of my state.
-
I guess our state is making a petition to get our Govvy\' (frank murkowski) out too.
I miss Tony Knowles- he ownd.
-
You know hell is getting cold when people like Michael Moore AND Ann Coulter agree on the recall election.
