Yeah i tried. I pointed the gun at my face and BLAM! Nothing happened. Then i tried to jump in front of a train and the train blew up. What luck.
Get some Zoloft, Prozak, Wellbutrin SR, Lexapro or something. All these depressed kids are killing me. Id say something else but i dont want to be responsible for you doing something stupid. J/K

I\'ve thought about it. But then I thought about how much shittier my life can be. I could have parents that abuse me or live in a neighborhood that someone dies on each week.

kind of like a lesson. Alot off ppl say ( and I\'m not
saying that is true ), that commiting suicide would
be choosing the easy way out.
If you endure tough times, bright times will follow
and later in life you\'ll proudly look back becuz you can
honestly say you stood up to face the problems.

Seriously, ive been in this boat. I used to think about it and one time almost tried it but stopped for a few reasons.
1) Life has a long way to go for me and better times are almost certain to be at one point in it.
2) Its not being able to fight the stupid shit that you are going through thus implying weakness, but not completely.
3) If there is a God then you would go to hell and no matter what anybody thinks, Hell, if it exists, is no f*ing party and is probably worse then your current situation
Unlike Knotter, im not 100% sure that we are here for a reason but i do know that your better off fighting through w/e shit your going through.
If you do nothing to help your situation then youre just making yourself want to kill yourself. Thats just the story plain and simple.

There are good times and bad times, and there is no reason to commit suicide....
I mean yeah, life can be rough at times, but it gets better, so just dont give up and such....
Edit: and I dont believe were here for any "Ultmiate" goal or anything, just live your life how you want to live it, and just try to be nice to people.... and yep thats about it.

yea, i used to thinkabout it daily at one point, for a long time, prob over a year, maybe longer...... i used togo to sleep most nights hoping i wouldnt wake up...
but i dont think i could ever do it, i just dont believe in it, so wont do it no mater how muchi would wanna

I\'ve found in my experience, anyone who asks people to talk them out of suicide never have the balls to do it. What pisses me off the most are people who "try" to commit suicide, if you\'re so incompitent that you can\'t kill yourself, you probably derserve to die.
So moral of the story is, no one ever respects people who commit suicide as they\'re cowards. Suck it up, everyone faces some shit in their lives so quit being a little bitch. Now come\'er and give me a hug.

i would find it hard as i had no one to talk o about it, i had mates, very good mates, but none of them knew about how i felt, and i didnt wanna bring them down.. so had to just think about stuff a lot

I have to agree with Omen , in my own personal experience, the one\'s who talk about it and what not, don\'t have the balls to do it. It\'s just a way to grab some attention.

I had a girlfriend a while back that would call me threatening suicide whenever I would hang out with my friends. One of those moments where I knew that she was doing it for attention, but I didn\'t want to take a chance. Yeah four months of that hell before I finally got the balls to dump her. I\'m a happier man today because of it, and she\'s still alive. All is good in the world.
On a side note I know what it feels like to want to die. Hell I\'ve been hospitalized for it before. Don\'t think I\'d actually do it, but I was convincing enough to scare my parents. Not the best time in my life but I\'m very glad I didn\'t kill myself. Too much to live for.

I go through phases of mood swings. One day I will be fine, the next I will feel so unhappy and depressed. It makes me feel like I have no energy at all and makes you want to just curl up and go to sleep. I can\'t say I have ever contemplated suicide though.

Look at the bloody kids in Africa who are dieing of Aids and that have no food or nothing, no education, no homes, no families etc. Then look at the sex slaves who work on the streets of Thailand for all the horn bag western pedo\'s. Or take a look at the friggen kids of Russia who work in sweat shop factories etc.

People cut themselves because they are testing their own limits. It puts them in control over what they are doing, they can stop whenever they want and say "this is too far"
People that self mutilate generally have people in their lives trying to control them (ok thats ever teenager but you get my drift) and quite often have image problems. I have a friend who has scars all down her thighs from cutting herself. She was adopted and it was her way of controlling her own life.

I\'ve thought about suicide. I never even tried to attepmt it. I usually am depressed when I think about it but I always look toward the future. See that bright times will happen and all the stuff I\'ll miss out on. Children, a great career, my friends, a hot wife (hehe. I can dream can\'t I?), and basically my whole life that I can enjoy. Why end it over something small during depression and that is only temporary. Suicide is the cowards way out.

or they have medical problems......I myself deal with OCD and chronic depression. I\'ve been on and off medication all my life. Don\'t assume too much Racer.

Agree\'d with Phil. I\'ve been on different medications, been diagnosed and my mother has also. Don\'t assume such things.
With that said, I still think crawling with your elbows is a brilliant idea!

I didn\'t assume anything. Of course there are people out there with chronic mental illness, and doing who knows what to their bodies probably makes them feel better. Notice how I also used the word \'generally\'. I wish people here would learn to read before jumping the gun.
Im just saying that most out there need a good kick up the ass for them to just grow up and stop complaining, but yes there are people out there that do have medical conditions that cause harmful behaviour.

Actually in your first paragraph you neglected to put generally.It made you sound as if you assumed that everyone that cuts themselves are trying to test limits. I can read, and I suggest you proofread.
As for people needing a kick up their ass for it. Eh maybe, but generally people who do it have problems that need to be dealt with and kicking their ass isn\'t going to help.

Not just the U.S., I\'ve been given the so-called wonder drug Prozac over here in the UK too. Don\'t belive all the hype, it can be bloody awful stuff, all of them, SSRI or Tricyclic, makes no difference, makes you belch constantly for no reason.
Although that is just personal preference, I\'d rather cry for a year solid than take another anti-depressant.

It has varied effects on everyone, I remember I took a different anti-depressant, and it caused belching, memory loss, numbness and many other side effects.

Honestly, if you were/are in a predicament I\'m in. You wouldnt be saying those things. You think its easy to deal with? Than why is an god damn epidemic? You think its easy just to say, "Hey!
