Yes. I bought my car and don\'t care to move out till its paid off. Once it\'s paid off, another few years, I am goin to buy a house.. I don\'t ever want to rent ...Screw that.

I\'d like to move out - but I see no reason to take on a car payment / utilities / house payment, etc.. I have been slowly buyin\' my stuff (car / tv / etc). Get the car paid off, and I\'ll buy a house. I\'ve worked at the same place for two years, don\'t mind the work, so I figure within the next five years and more, I\'ll still be there.

That\'s actually a good plan. Have a savings, pay off your debt, get all your essencials (car, job, health benefits) and then move out. This practice is common among Asian and Hispanic families.

For once, we agree.

I see to many people, rush out, get a job and do all the things they are "suppose" to do and the end up so far in debt and they are only in their mid-twenties.

I\'d rather pay the car off, make sure my job remains stable, have all my household items and then go , find myself a house. Instead of living paycheck from paycheck, due to a car payment, house payment, car insurance, house insurance, groceries, utilities..etc

I\'m moving out as soon as I can afford a nice one bedroom apartment.

Yes I live at home, I can\'t afford to move out on my poor wages. I had a choice a few years ago but bought a car with my cash instead.

You can go on as long as you want about how logical it is to save your money by living at home, but there is still one insoluble problem with it.  What do you do when you want to bring a girl over to your place?

"Don\'t make too much noise, you\'ll wake up my mother."  There nothing that kills a woman\'s passion faster than a male talking about his mother.  That\'s just one example though.  Don\'t forget Uncle Bob, or Grandma Gooch.  Who knows what you might find in your parents\' house?

Honestly, how do you deal with it?  It may make you poor renting an apartment, but at least you have a chance of getting some.  It\'s a sad reality of life.  :)

Yes it is... I\'m Asian. But I really don\'t have much of a savings.
