check out some of the pics on that page. The HK track looks stunning (if it\'s really from GT4 that is, haven\'t seen it anywhere else)

How can they cram this all on one disc?

Or is it going to be 2?

I read somewhere they\'re going for 2 DVDs. They have to I guess since GT3 pretty much filled up the whole DVD when it came out.

Actually GT3 had about an inch to spare. I made a back up of my original.

Yeah but GT3 only had what like 150-160 cars? Don\'t remember and that took up almost an entire disc... GT4 has around 2-3 times that amount plus about 100 tracks, so I\'d say it\'s a safe bet it\'s gonna be 2 DVD.

I wonder how they\'ll split it in that case... I mean.. I assume the cars all have to be on both disks if they do that.. cause if not, could you only race with the cars from one disk?  I\'m sure they\'ll figure out a way to split it (if they do) so that there is a minimum of disk-swapping... I have faith in them.

I guess if there is F1 and rally specific tracks and cars, they could be on the second disk....

Split it like they did Gt2 perhaps?  Just a guess.

Um... damn. Bad news. I think. Check out the forums that JP posted. In that thread you will find some fairly large videos (47Mb). I looked at them and two were just amazing and then i watched a Grand Canyon replay and to my unfortunate suprise, the crowds were not as lovely or as lively as we have seen in previous videos posted.

I hope this is just old, or a bad dream because i remember hearing that PD didnt release fake footage.:(

I think those might be old videos LN, I think PSW will have the new footage of the Hong Kong track on it\'s new DVD, with the animated crowds.

look closer. Was the crowd really 3D?Because if the video was taken from an earlier incomplete version it wouldnt show just that.Even the footage posted some time ago in the forums that showed the realistic specators the rally scenes after that didnt have 3D spectators. And I am talking about the same movie

Oh my, I want this game so bad.

Look at that New York replay! I am on dialup, so I can\'t download it, but would someone with uber fast broadband mind making some screen caps? I never knew there would actually be animated drivers in the seats!

If only the PS2 were HD compatible..  Everything looks like crap once it goes back down to regular rez..  It never looks as good as these PC screens.

I read somewhere in an interview that GT4 was two discs, the first disc being the non online single player (arcade mode basically) and the second being online, which will replace Gran Turismo mode.

Don\'t ask me how that is going to work, I mean, they will still need to have all 600+ cars and 50+ tracks on both discs.

Perhaps you ll have to download in your memory card from the second disc a car and use it on the other disc.Perhas the cras that didnt fit on one disc are on the other and you ll have to do that to use it on disc one.

Well that would suck, I have no plans what so ever to put my ps2 online, so taking out gran turismo mode for some online mumbo jumbo would just suck ass.

I betcha the Online Mode won\'t allow you to use modified cars just like the multi-player mode in GT3.

I thought the multiplayer mode in GT3 allowed you to import cars from your garage?

Import cars, yes....but they don\'t carry over the mods.

From what i remember 2p mode did allow mods. Meh.

Yeah, PD specifically stated that they wanted to put drivers in convertibles as to make the experience seem more real. I didnt mind the no drivers, and the ones in the F1 cars were not all that great (except for a couple, where you could actually see them stearing). I like these guys 10 times better.

Hopefully those crowds look a bit better later on. They were indeed different from those in gt3 but still not 3D and in full motion. *Kneels and prays*

I should have been more specific in my reply coz now I\'ll be banned for spamming. :p

GT3 did not allow "go fast" mods in the multiplayer mode. However, I do believe that cosmetic mods, like the rims, were carried over.

When I raced in the two player mode, I imported a fully tuned Impreza. It was the only three cars I owned in the garage. But once I raced against the non-modified cars, I realized that my car was just like it was de-tuned.

I can see this carrying over in the online version. The cars will be given a set of default settings so there\'s less lag time assessing the mods and how its physics would change due to the mods.

BUT I HOPE I\'M WRONG! I\'d love to have the baddest and perfectly tuned car against others who just tune their cars with gobs of HP. :D
