This is just a small reminder that on Tuesday, the Indiana Jones Trilogy will be released on DVD for the first time in both widescreen and fullscreen. It\'s something I\'ve been waiting for for a long time, ever since I got rid of my VCR that is, and I\'ll be picking this one up on day one.

I was just wondering if anyone else here will be picking it up on day one like I am. Even some of the more snobby movie fans should see the genius in at least ONE of these films. Are any of you guys big fans like I am?

I will most likely get this pack too, great films that I enjoy watching again and again.

Hmmm, not sure if I\'ll buy it. Only the first film was worthwhile, and I do have fond memories of it. The second was utter crap, and the third was only partially crappy.
If possible, I will buy only the first one.

I just gotta say, I remember watching (Temple Of Doom???) when I was like 10 and I was totally freaked out by that guy at the end who drinks out of the cup of life and then goes all crusty and his head explodes...
I had nightmares about that for weeks. Great movies though.

The Last Crusade had the guy drinking from the Cup of Christ and decaying into dust while Raiders of the Lost Ark had the guy with the exploding head. I think you mixed the two films in your head somehow. Regardless, you need to buy these movies and relive that experience! ;)

I never said that. You can keep them there so long as Raiders stays in my DVD player. You won\'t miss that one since you prefer Last Crusade anyhow. :p

I saw Indy in widescreen on LD years ago. Was impressed with all the extra material added and was hoping the for the DVD soon. The series is a little bit before my time but I do like it, though I wouldn\'t buy it myself. I\'ll get it for my Dad this Xmas.

How old are you anyway? I always thought you were close to my age (21).

There are reviews of this up on dvdtalk, and evidently they spent a tremendous amount of time on the video and and audio. The picture is near flawless now, and the audio mix in 5.1 is outstanding.
I will be picking this up tonight at midnight.

I just heard....George Lucas and Steven Spielberg....REPLACED most of the guns in the Indiana Jones movies with radios. Sorta like in the movie "ET". :(
Damn....I wanted the original digitally enhanced movies....not altered for Family Viewing. AAARGH!

I have it, and for an older movie. The transfer and sound is incredible. I see 0 dust, scratches, or artifacts. They spent some time on this one. Well worth 50 bucks IMHO.
