I keep getting these stupid ads for porn! How do I get rid of them?
Its driving me crazy.
-
Well, it detects what kind of sites you visit, and then shows ads that matches. So stop watching porn you freak.
-
hahah
-
hehehe, busted!
-
I DONT THOUGH!!! Thats the thing thats really, really, REALLY strange.
I also get ads for stuff like steriods. Its weird.
-
Lol... sorry Racer, I don\'t know why it does that (the matching part was a joke ;)). I think it\'s weird though that MS would allow such content.
-
are u by anychance using msn 6 plus?
-
Its just MSN 6 from what I can figure. I get these pop up messages saying "Message from MSN. Sorry to intrude on your privacy, download this and stop these pop ups!"
Its weird, but it only ever happens when I am signed into MSN.
-
f*ck that ad. "Sorry for interrupting you, pay me money or install my spyware and I\'ll leave you alone."
Screw that noise, try googling your question and see what you come up with. 9 times out of 10 that fixes a computer problem I have.

A few weeks back I had some program on my computer that would change my homepage. I think it was some bogus file on Kazaa.
-
bloody Amateurs.
go to control panel
Administrative tools
Services
Scroll down and find Messenger
Right Click on it.. "Properties"
Service Status click "Stop"
Startup Type select "Disabled"
ok and done.

^^
Yeah, but what the hell does that do??? I still want to use the program, I just don\'t want these pop ups. At first it freaked me out because it said "This message has been sent from IP 199.999.999.99" and I thought I might have had a trojan or whatever and someone had hacked into my system and was sending me these messages.

Have you tried Ad-Aware?

Souly, a lot of us know how to do that, but I thought it only happened when Racer was using MSN 6. Have they stopped Racer?
-
There\'s 2 types of Messenger, inbuilt and the version u install.. What i\'ve told you disables the inbuilt version, which should stop the pop-ups racer is getting. You can still use MSN6 etc.
