Title: Emotional movie moments
Post by: Black Samurai on October 25, 2003, 02:31:27 AM
You know that feeling when you want to cry or you have a lump in your throat from trying not to cry? um.......neither do I.

But if I did these would be the movie scenes that bring it on:

Amistad - The scene where they chain all the slaves together and throw them off the boat. I always get a little upset at that part.

My Girl - I was like 10 or 11 when this came out and I remember feeling REALLY bad for Vada(?).

An American Tail - somewhere out there beneath the pale moon light...someone\'s thinking of me and loving me tonight Very sad scene for a 5-6 year old.

Rosewood - The fact that it is based on a true story always gets me.

Eyes on the Prize - The whole documentary

Braveheart - FREEEEDOOMMM!!!!

Glory - That scene where Denzel\'s character is getting whipped for trying to get some new shoes and he is unemotional except for that one tear.

OK, not joking here.  I can\'t remember how old I was, but my guess would be about 12 or 13..   The movie "Night Shift" at the end when Shelly Long and Henry Winkler get back to gether.  Oh, it was an emotional rollercoaster.

"Wait a minute! Why don\'t they just mix the mayonnaise with the tuna in the can... HOLD THE PHONE! Why don\'t they just FEED the tuna fish mayonnaise! "

Also after graduating college I weeped in Father of the Bride.  I think it was because I absolutely hated where I was living and I was all screwed up.

That\'s all I can remember.  I don\'t normally cry during those chick flicks, but usually those really well written dramas.

Rudy almost got me, being an athletic guy who\'s life revolves around competition and such, a touching sports movie can almost do it to me.
