Sébastien LOEB (F) 63 points!
Carlos SAINZ (E) 63 points!
Petter SOLBERG (NOR) 62 points!
Richard BURNS (GB) 58 points!
Markko MARTIN (EST) 49 points!
********************
Petter Solberg is driving for Subaru and looks like they\'re mathematically out of contention for the Championship crown. But for the Driver\'s Championship, Petter can WIN IT! He\'s just 1 point off! The final race is in ooseven\'s littel island!

Man, this thing is so freaking close it\'s amazing. The other great thing about it is I actually LIKE all of the top drivers in contention. Thank god it\'s not going to be another rubber stamp victory for Marcus Gronholm and Peugeot again.
Can you believe how Peugeot\'s fortunes have changed? Only last year they were saying the 206 was unbeatable, and claiming that none of the other manufacturers were even competitive with them. Now Citroen comes out of virtually nowhere and puts two cars in the top three. I can\'t believe how fast they improved.
The performance of Markko Martin and his Ford Focus has been almost equally remarkable. I remember thinking that Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz fled Ford because they were frustrated with the Focus, but here Martin comes along and puts up 49 points near the end of the championship. Stunning.
The real story however is Petter Solberg. This guy is unbelievable, and I never thought he would advance so fast in only one year. I remember being thrilled last year when he achieved his first podium finish, and now this year he\'s won a few rallys outright. How can he be performing so much better than Tommi with effectively the same car?
Rally Great Britain is going to be amazing. I wish I could get same day coverage over here. :(
-
Hehehe, never would I have imagined that Citroen could actually win.
-
The race is on! This is the last race of the year! Stage 2 done and it\'s close! :D

Fizuck, I don\'t want to know what\'s going on until I see the entire coverage on Speed TV on Sunday night. :(
-
God damn Speed Channel. I won\'t get the rally for atleast two weeks. I want to see Tommi race his last races.
-
First leg is over! They\'re seconds apart! Just a few seconds! AAAAAH! I\'m gonna explode!

I noticed that last night. Thanks for reminding me. Its at like 6, right? I hope they do something for Makinen\'s retirement.

OMG Petter Solberg won it! All I can say is HELL YEAH! This is almost as good as if the Suns had won a world championship. I\'ve been a fan of Petter for a few years now, and it\'s great to see him win with such authority. It\'s so fitting that Tommi Makinen should have an awesome rally as well, and finish in third.
Even though I don\'t really like Colin McRae all that much, I felt bad for him to have a puncture on the final stage. He was a good sport about it, so I think he went out on a good note.
All in all, it\'s a great day for motorsports. :D

WHEW! FINALLY I CAN POST ABOUT THIS WITHOUT SPOILING IT FOR SOMEONE!
YES! Petter Solberg won it all! He had the mental advantage over Loeb, though. Loeb wanted to win the Driver\'s cup too but it would be risky if he damaged his car in doing so, coz it would cost the Citreon the Manufacturer\'s Cup. So he had to balance points for the Team and yet not lose too much ground to Petter Solberg.
Personally, I think Loeb said "Screw you Citreon, I drive for me!" and he was only half a minute behind Petter most of the way. But Petter was better, inspite of Loeb\'s all out attack. :p
Yay Subaru! Now we can see a more competitive Subaru next year! With Team Subaru owning an in-house rivalry between Burns vs Solberg for the driver\'s cup, Subaru should have a great chance at the manufacturers cup.
-
kinda off topic but Titan I like your avator...
and Yay Subaru!!
-
Don\'t be so sure that Burns will be back. We don\'t know the reason for his "blackout" yet. Let\'s hope it\'s nothing serious.
-
I guess yer right. December is when Teams make announcements for who\'s in and who\'s not. Come on Burns! Get well!

DAmn. Go burns

Burns has blacked out twice now, it happened again a couple of days ago. He went to have some tests done but they all came back negative.
