I guess not. At least according to this article, the French don\'t care.
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20031031/ap_on_bi_ge/france_halloween_1
I can\'t remember anyone from outside the US & Canada ever telling me that they celebrated Halloween or cared about it. To me that seems a shame because it\'s rather a cool holiday. It\'s reassuring to me to have this little "anti-christmas" and look at all the dorky / goofy things people do to celebrate it. It\'s sort of a disorganized holiday; not beholden to any particular religion or belief set. Even as just an excuse to run horror movies on television, I think it\'s worthwhile.
If the rest of the world thinks we\'re weird because of it, then all the better. :)

Here in cyprus they dont celebrate Halloween. But they do in some private schools like American Academy. My sis goes to the American Academy in Nicosia(Capital of Cyprus) and they are organising a halloween party.
I ve seen in TV how you people celebrate Halloween and it seems very cool and fun.Its a period were everyones seems to forget their everyday troubles and are trying to think of ways to originate and have fun.Pfff.....Cyprus....Why on earth was I born in Cyprus :p

Unicron the best part about holoween is you get tp prented your something your not make for a lot of crazy people I love it!!

Here in Holland we have Carnaval. but it\'s more like :clown: instead of horror-themed. Ppl dress up, anything goes as long as it\'s funny and makes fun of sh1t in life. It origines from the festivity after the catholic annual sober times. So ppl drink loads when Carnaval is.

Hehehe and I suppose you are doing lots of crazy stuff but nobody knows its you because you are masked ;)

What\'s really cool about Halloween is when a girl opens the door to her house and there\'s a guy standing there with a Halloween mask on and a big knife in his hand. She thinks it\'s her boyfriend picking her up for the Halloween party, so she invites him in. Then it turns out that he\'s really a psychotic killer, so he stabs her in the head with the knife.
It happens all the time... yeah, I\'m sure I\'ve seen that somewhere. :p

The best part about Halloween is when you get a little too old to go Trick or Treating so you just go out with a bunch of eggs and the intent to snatch someone elses candy.
Ahhhh....good times.
-
It\'s fun going around with lighter fluid and spraying it inside of a lit pumpkin on someones porch. Pumpkins melt quite nicely that way.
-
or spraying children with lighter fluid and lighting them on fire. Good times...

You bastards are making me jealous.I want Halloween too.
:p

No halloween celebrated here, some places are trying to use the holiday to do something, clubs and whatnot but otherwise halloween doesn\'t exist around these parts...which is sad, I\'d like to celebrate halloween.
-
I kind of like Halloween but haven\'t dressed up in a couple years (well last year for a party). Halloween is fun. We dress up in school but I didn\'t this year. Kind of a shame, I should have today. I think I forgot it was halloween this morning.
-
Halloween rules.
Me and my friends are gonna get high, then go pumpkin smashing.
God its great.
-
Has a few kids come around so we gave them some sweets.
-
Down here there\'s very little excitement in regards to Halloween. I remember Trick or Treating a few years when I was younger. But can\'t ever remember kids showing up on our doorstep asking for candy. Or ever buying candy for Halloween.
I did see 2 children dressed up recently, I hope they aren\'t expecting much by way of treats.

No one in the Netherlands can give a rats ass about Halloween.
-
We had one kid come and that was my cousin. I\'m working on disposing of the rest of the candy. I love halloween :D
-
No one in Scandinavia cares either. I find it just silly.
-
Didn\'t see a single original costume last night.
-
Nor did I.... My girlfriend was batgirl, that was hot... I wanted to dress up as a wigger, but didn\'t want to mess up my hair.
-
it is celebrated in uk, i guess its a big deal...
-
I got pretty messed up on halloween night, we threw candy at little kids lol

I was Thor, and it was bitchin.
:D
Halloween rules;
1) We went to go get some candy since we ate all of my little brothers, so we go to this old ladies house. She gives us a bag of chips (BIG ONES, so we picked These Cinnamon Chips, which rule) and 1 candy. Briand and Lee just grabbed the thing, and I took the whole bowl. She was cussing me out and everything- bah **** her. It was hilarious, imagine me in my Thor suite with a armful of candy running away from an old lady, spilling half of it out. God that was funny.
2) After we got some candy, it was like 8 still, we decided to jam. The band came over and we opened the geerage door, kids and teenagers (even hot chicks) came by and just hung out. A few chicks stayed after, and we could tell they wanted us, ;).
Honestly, nothing is as stupid and as fun as Halloween.
BTW: The weed sucked, Briand threw up all over, it was disgusting. The only good weed is Alaskan, and its not debateable. :D
-
Yeah, we get dirty Mexico weed down here.

Didn\'t take any pics... Sorry dude. It was just a standard suit, with utility belt, tight pants, cape, and mask.

Around these parts Halloween has just become a reason to throw a party and dress up crazy, go out to bars and get drunk. Its like the Mardi Gras of Delaware.
Fun times were had by all.

I went to a huge Halloween outing in Georgetown, Washington DC last night. It was a freakin\' riot. I mean....RIOT but without the violence and burning and window breaking. Absolute fun.
-
So they still had the grandma raping?
-
In Taiwan it\'s becoming a big thing. I heard that Hong Kong has been into it for a while, but not as extreme as the Americans. There is also some speculation that China might start soon too.
-
^^
Grandma raping is catching on with other countries?
-
Halloween isn\'t celebrated in Denmark - although some companies are trying to market Halloween stuff anyway... they want to make it a holiday so they can get more money out of consumers. Gotta love capitalism.
-
I hate Halloween, luckily no kids came by this year.
Maybe it has something to do with the government putting up a sign on my house "Warning here lives a child molester"
PS: We dont celebrate it either, but like samwise said, a few companies have tried to launch it here. Little success I\'d say.

And from the pictures you showed us she really does need the mask.
;)
