(WSBT) A family pet helped police bring an end to an hour long stand-off in Goshen.

Thursday night\'s incident was caught on home video and shows police trying to talk with 41-year old Greg Cook.


Police say Cook threatened to shoot the officers. They were able to arrest him after tossing his cat in the air to distract him. Cook is charged with disorderly conduct, intimidation, and resisting arrest.

Not really. Tossing a cat 10 feet into the air is nothing to a cat since it will always land safely on its feet. When I owned a cat, it could easily leap from the second story window to the ground like it was a hop and a skip to us humans.
