I need some help, my cd changer cartridge won\'t eject and I cannot get it out.

anyone got any ideas of how to remove it???
-
 Did you try hitting it?

-
Are you getting power to it?

-
yeah, im getting power to it, i can hear its trying to eject it, but it wont budge. I would say a CD has become stuck when it was trying to change CD\'s.

-
have you tried to hit eject while prying at it gentally?

-
yea, try and get it out "genitally"

-
Take a screwdriver, find an opening, and just jerk at it. It\'ll pop out in no time.

-
Its a Kenwood so everything is really tight. Its suspended on these spring things to reduce skipping and vibration.

damn thing wont work! I hate listening to the radio...
-
THere is probably a manual eject mechanism you can get to if you take the unit out.  One where you\'d use a screwdriver to crank it out.

I think you\'re player is a trying to tell you to lay off the Mariah Carey CD. ;)
-
u sure there is even a cd in there. ha ha, best bet is try to poke it out with a small scewdriver or something

-
Vid, its bolted in pretty well, thats a last resort. Gonna get some pliers...

-
Just get another one on Ebay... I bought my Kenwood a few years ago, it does the job but it\'s pretty ancient.

-
The one I have is like worth $900.00. I don\'t think so.

-
wtf? Did it come with a screen for DVD and a 12 disc changer? I wouldn\'t pay $900 for something that didn\'t have that.... lol

Australian dollars...
-
You got the instruction manual? I almost gurantee there is something in there that explains what to do in this situation. Almost every cd player / cd changer has a  manual  / force eject.  If nothing else , you could probably look at it, take apart the casing the casing and find out what the problem is.

Basically, be a man, do it the manly way. Get some tools and tear the damn thing up, you pansy.
-
if you paid 900 buck for it you can afford to take it to a damn place that fixes them

-
Sammy, $AU1 = .72US cents... You make it sound like Bahrain...

Its all fixed now so no problemo.
-
Yea, exactly.. That\'s still a pretty huge chunk of money. Like $650.

-
Twas accouple of years ago. Its a great system, just very picking with some CD\'s...

-

No, back to the subject...

SER GOT PWNED

PS. He already said he got it working.
-
Yes, had to pull the whole thing apart and put it back together and re lube it, but its now changing discs better then a DJ.

So, my advice worked? Be a man about things. Don\'t be a f**kin\' pansy who has to hire people for such trivial manual jobs.

 ^^

It was pretty simple, just took alittle longer then I expected.
