True Crimes:
This one is a love it or hate it. I picked it up yesterday as it sounded bad ass, well it was a little bad ass, or at least the concept behind it is cool but fails in the end.
The fighting is highly touted as being a Tekken like system but it basically a three button mash fest and isn\'t very fun. I would say that it\'s a shade better than the GTA system, and that ain\'t good.
The driving and catching of thieves is pretty great, I love shooting out tires and blowing cars up by shooting their gas tanks. And this IMO is the only reason to buy the game (well not the only reason) There is great fun in chasing down a perp, shotting out his tires, having him bail out of the car, chase him on foot then he jacks another car and it starts all over again.
The story is weak, sorry but it is. The story missions are unfun and frustrating. If they aren\'t frustrating then they become boring. And once you get to the part with zombies, the story is a freak\'n joke.
The gameplay has some screwed up things with it. If you kill good guys you get bad cop points, if you arrest people you get good cop points. But if someone shoots at you and you shoot them, you\'re a bad cop...freak\'n rediculous.
Overall score is a C+. A decent game if you need to buy one.
GTA Double Pack:
I\'ve never played Vice City, love 80\'s music and am a HUGE Scarface fan so this is a must buy for me.
Well we all know what GTA is about and how great it is, so I won\'t get into it. But the graphics have been upgraded and the controls have been remapped.
Score A+ (So far, top 3 favorite game of all time)
Ghost Recon 6: 3
Beautiful game, with beautiful gameplay. Only played about an hour so far, but I really like this game. The Zulu codes are great, with the Zulu code I can set up my men at one entry point, go to the other and when I hit the Zulu button the enter. This way you get simultanious entry from two points, great.
Overall score: B+/A- (only played an hour)

hmmm, cant believe streets of la sucks that much.. was thinking of picking it up today, but now im not so sure

^^^Yeah, me too. I heard it was pretty good now I don\'t know what to think. Maybe I\'ll rent it first.

i bought true crime, its good imo, not great, some things could be improved on, but im finding it fun, thank god i bought it on x box, rather than ps2, as ive got my own sound track!!!

I want PGR2, even though it probably won\'t be that great.
Is True Crimes very long?

It seemed pretty short to me, I\'d guess it\'s around 20 hours if you don\'t rush.

its notasbad as u said, thoug not rel far in, is quite food, controls are a bit weird at first

How far have you gotten? I personally got really pissed when I reached the part with the [sp]zombies[/sp] it was just weird for that to be in this type of game.

You\'re pretty much at the begining. Word of advice, make sure you level up your character, as fights get tough later on.

im at the scond split in the storyline, so i wasnt pretty much at the beginning, he had been kidknapped, and hd to go to some butcher to get him, the zombie have just started to come, wird, still wasnt expecting zombies....lol

Yeah, I got it too. I like it. Its not an incredible game but it is fun. The zombie thing was definately weird as hell; but that whole level was odd. Demon-heads? WTF.
The controls took a bit to get used to at first but they were okay. My main problem was with the camera. There were times when I would be sneaking around a corner and I couldn\'t get the camera to turn so I could see around it without going to far around the corner and being stuck against the wall while getting shot by enemies I couldn\'t see.
If I had to rate the game I would give it an 8 or a 7.5 out of 10.
The city is HUGE. I remember when I had to drive the length of the map to get to the airport and it actually took a long ass time to get there. I can\'t think of any other game where the game area felt as massive as this does.

the map seemed almost too big for my tastes, and not knowing LA very well hurts.
But the best part about the game are the random crimes. I love getting Jay Leno\'s car back, and the self proclaimed king of Pop Jacko something or rather atacking people with a syringe. I would say that if they make a second TC, they need to make the missions as fun as the random crimes.

yea, some where funny, like someones stolen a hospital van with a sevred arm in it, or got dodgey acclaim gams in the back, made me laugh..
plus i love doing randon pat downs on peep

Random crimes are the best part. I love how the AI works.
I rolled up on some guys fighting and hit the sirens. One guy immediately gave up and the other ran around the corner. I arrested one guy and chased the other. I tripped him and he got up and stole a car. I shot up the car while he is getting in to slow it down and then I grabbed someone elses car. I chased him and disabled his car. Dude got out and said "Alright dude, I give up" and put his hands up. I walked around the car to cuff him and he ran around the other side of the car and stole the car I was driving. He hit the disabled car which hit me and knocked me down. Then he got away.
It almost like playing the roll of a cop in GTA.

yea, it is very cool. the only thing that bothes me, is u get run over sometimes when u really dont wanna, but over all its good,
