But alas i cannot buy SOCOM II because i know that if i did, i would fail all my University classes...

Post by: juslight on November 07, 2003, 06:34:40 AM: SOCOM was my introduction to online gaming. I love the realism that LIVE players add to video games. It\'s certainly a break from the normal "find the patern of the AI and exploit it" games.

Post by: vagrantscout on November 07, 2003, 10:39:30 AM: There is an easier way to get the names of SOCOM II players. All you need to do is go to www.SOCOMeSEALs.com and register. They have search features for finding fellow SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs players and Clans and have something like 30 thousand registered members from the last e-SEALs site. You can even search members by the name they use in the online servers and add these people to your "Ally" list to keep track - kinda like a buddy list on IM. Besides all that you can send challenge e-cards to Clan for battles and they have a big online tournament they are sponsoring coming up in December. Just think that is easier than writing all the names down when this site does it all for you.

Are there any new (better) online menus juslight?

like a buddysystem and stuff?

I always hated SOCOM I\'s online system...

This game is a lot more difficult, can\'t say if its better then socom 1 yet.... but so far i suck at it.

Post by: MPTheory on November 17, 2003, 09:42:35 PM: AHHH gotta love me some SOCOM II. much better than the first one. TONS of maps. I still dont think Ive played them all yet.

On some of the maps, you can get thermal scopes for your guns. There are granade launchers, and you can call in an airstrike. The points system is much better too. Now you can actually figure out what your getting points for. The friends list is also a big plus.

I got up to 7,000 and the captain rank but now ive dropped to 17,000 and the LT. Commander rank.
