By growing tomato and tobacco plants from seed and grafting them together, Rob Baur created a tomato plant with tobacco roots. The leaves and fruit of the tomato top have nicotine in them.

Hmmm, could be easily faked.
How could he have done this? Im guessing cross-pollenation.

Nope. Grafting. Cut the tomato plant about 7 inches above the base of the ground, splice it over a cut tobacco plant and voila! The roots of the tobacco will secrete its addictive qualities into the tomato!
They taste aweful....but it sure is addictive! :p
