I understand the reason why many threads have been closed lately, but this one left me scratching my head. Perhaps some mods should take their itchy "close thread" trigger finger and stick it somewhere else. Or maybe just delete the offending posts instead of closing the thread.
Another idea is... whoever closes a thread should insert one last post explaining why it was closed. That seems reasonable, AND it would help others learn what not to do in the future.
Any other ideas?

Hmm, a mod with an itchy trigger finger... guess who. ;)
I\'m not really a fan of closing threads, especially considering the relative slowness of the board. Editing and/or deleting the posts in questions or - gasp - a warning seems more suitable to me.
-
What growing old thread? Guess that shows how much I really pay attention around here. :p
-
Re-opened, due to demand.
Was closed due to the fact that Vivi and Swifdi was just spamming, then we had Spudz bashing Raver - and it wasn\'t going anywhere. However, if you guy\'s want to spam and bash each other, go for it.
:)
-
There was other real content in that thread also.
-
We were hardly spamming you filthy Nazi.
Vivi: Are you black?
SwifDi: Obviously...
How is that spam? It\'s that kind of stuff that you have to let go through the cracks or else off-topic will continue to blow monkey nuts.
Oh and then I asked why my post was deleted, cuz it shouldn\'t have been. But that\'s why you\'re moderator and I\'m not, I\'m highly against the deleting and closing of threads unless it\'s unreasonably necessary.

I thought that thread had righted itself, and turned into a discussion of shit fashion.
-
In all honesty... i dont know why threads are locked in off-topic... its off-topic what kinds ot threads do you want in there?
the only reason i see the need for a lock are persons attacks or racial stuff...
Take it easy on the lock button mods!... we realize you are all powerful gods so there is no reason to keep on proving it
-
I should be a mod.
-
No, you shouldn\'t. If you was a m0d - Off-Topic would continue to be a cess-pool of useless threads and moronic comments.
It\'s re-opened. So, there.
