Title: Does anyone remember this game?
Post by: ##RaCeR## on November 10, 2003, 04:16:08 PM
I remember playing a game on Megadrive I think called \'Flashback\' or \'Flashdrive\' or something. I remember I could never finish it cause it was so hard.

Have they made a re-make or something of it?

It was flashback, they also made it for the 3DO. Good game

I prefered it\'s prequel "Another World".

You can pick up a Megadrive and both of these for under £15 (35 Oz Dollars). I was playing them yesterday, Flashback is certainly superior IMO.

Edit : The intro was more atmospheric on Another World though. I remember thinking how good it looked!

I must have played through the prequel so many times.  The prequel was a little more linear, but it had some amazingly cool things going on.  I loved the later parts when you were being chased by those hulking aliens with lasers, so you were running away, trying to find the correct thing to do time and time again, as they gunned you down. :p

If Megadrive pads were easier to come by I\'d have thrown mine numerous times yesterday!

Another world / Out of this world, wasn\'t the prequel to flashback.   Fade to black was a let down though.

They were both Delphine but one was distrubuted by Virgin I think, corrct me if I\'m wrong. I remember them being a while apart, I owned Another World on my old Amstrad PC and Flashback on the SNES and Megadrive.

Edit : The only thing I can think of like this is Goldeneye/Perfect Dark on the N64, PD was virtually a sequel with just a different skin over the top, they even crammed in a load of weaponry from Goldeneye too.

Was Fade To Black a sequel to Flashback?

I remember that was like the first game I got for PSX.

I consider them a sequel in that flashback was a very-beefed up out of this world.  Simmilar idea, controls, etc.  I dunno... it just had that "flavor" when I played it.  Although I suppose there was no real linking of the stories, other than the interdimensional thing, and the odd appearance of a few ..... heh.

Fade to black was indeed the sequel to flashback, a bad one at that. They should have kept the 2D gameplay.

I didn\'t like Fade To Black because it was 3D. Should have stuck with 2D.

Fade to black was horrible.  "You must follow the way of the oracle."  UGH!  DIE!

Flashback was genius.  In fact, I won an auction for a brand new SNES (Worst) copy sealed.  Something like 15 bucks total after shipping.  Can\'t complain.
