http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/11/11/fugitive.heir.ap/index.html
I like this part..
Durst, 60, who is under suspicion in two other killings, testified in his own defense for nearly four days. He insisted that Black was shot accidentally during a struggle, and said that in a panic he then cut up the body. The victim\'s head has never been found.
Let me get this straight. He may of killed two other people and we KNOW he killed this one. As he admits to it, but he says it was an "accident". So what\'d he do? He cut the body up and hid it.
Score one for the US Justice system.

Must remember that for the next time i am pulled over for speeding..
"you see Officer... i saw your squad car parked at the side of the road and paniced because i was speeding... the next thing i know is that i slam on the Accelerator"
oh yeah and i just love this line....
After the killing in late September 2001, Durst was a fugitive for six weeks until he was caught in Pennsylvania when he tried to shoplift a $5 sandwich even though he had $500 in his pocket

The camera\'s are always aimed at the check-out place. Damn, you act like you\'ve never been a fugitive before.
noob.

It sounds like to me, a rich man, who has grown bored with life, is taking on a new career. One that presents a risk. Crime. Just my two cents. Amazing thing is that a jury of his "peers" found him innocent of a murder he admits he done, cut up the body of and is suspected of two other murders. Not to mention , the fact of shoplifting. If that doesn\'t signal alarms in our society, then what does?
-
Hey, don\'t diss the system. Where would we be at if rich men couldn\'t get away with murder? Madness I say.
-
When he learned police had found some of Black\'s remains, Durst said he fled to New Orleans with five pounds of marijuana and more than $500,000 in cash.
Surely they can get him on SOMETHING?

Once upon a time their was a corrupt government and legal system.
A naughty man kills innocent people but!
He has money.
He gets away with it.
The end.

Heh if OJ can do it.......

Just shows that if money is no object you can buy your freedom.
