 :smokin: :thepimp: :nerd:
-
Now that was scary.
Damn Japanese people. Doing nothing but playing videogames all day. :p
-
I havent watched it but thats insane. Super mario 3 is a lot easier IMO than 1 and two was just kinda lame. But still. Crazy japanese. One day they will force us to kill them, if not the other way around. j/k
-
^^
By then they\'ll have robotic goombas, and koopas and we\'ll be screwed!
-
That link is now a goner. Can someone else host it? I donloaded a meg of it and then it went down.
-
HDVwdfsfgobjkgoerfgkeaorgkwaogkj!!!!!
ahahahahaha!!! That dood is insane!!!!!!!!!! Oh my!
!!!CRIKEY!!!
-
Well...can\'t you get those two warp whistles and be in the last level in like, 5 minutes?
Can\'t truly be that hard to get to the final level and beat it in 11 minutes.
See Yuz.
-
Download the video and weep. It would take one of us about 25-30min to do what he did. Keep in mind all of the "in-between" time is counted too, such as map navigation, end level music, pipe connector levels, etc..
Oh and he racked up over 100 lives on the way.
-
What was amazing to me was the canon balls. He was bouncing around like he knew certain ones were going to be in certain places.
That is extremely dorkified.

GADZOOKS!
-
I cant see me video.
-
That\'s easily the most impressive feat of gaming I\'ve ever seen.
Well, maybe not easily. I\'ve seen some Monkey Ball videos that make my brain start to die.
-
I love Monkey Ball - and thought I was fairly decent at it, until I started downloadin videos of other players. I watched, I gasped and then I hid in shame.
-
Man, that just made my night.
That and Jumpy\'s new pic.
-
Well I hope it was worth it.
Me personally, I play every level, I try not to be gay and use the flute, I keep it straight and play right through.

You could of just been straight forward and said, "I\'m filled with envy that I can\'t do such a extremely awesome task", but nooooo, you had to go and play it off.
;)
And Nicon - the reason two was considered "lame" is because of the fact that it is not a Mario game. It was a Japanese game called "Duko Duko Panic" (I believe that was the name? Blade or Jumpy correct me, please). Nintendo saw that Mario was a hit in the US and wanted to rush out a sequel, so they changed the sprites into Mario and friends sprites. Also explains the lame ending.
-
Ironic. I provide the link...yet my video stops at the three minute mark. So all I get to see is up to the canon stage. :(
-
Save Target As...
Always! Streaming is bad.
-
Reminds me of that crazy japanese video siimilar to this where the guy played a "music" note game at blistering speed. I think the link was off this forum ,but I can\'t find it.
-
I beat it in less time once..... but then again, that\'s not from the beggining.
-
Upon closer inspection of the video, it looks to me like mario goes through a couple of wrenches on the first ship level at 2:42 and 2:46. It\'s difficult to tell though... and that would be a sign of GS use....
Oh well. It\'s amazing no matter what.
Upon a fourth, then fifth inspeciton... maybe he goes just over the wrenches. Sure is close, whatever.

I did save. Unfortunately, it didn\'t save the entire file. However, just now it completed the entire download and I was able to view this amazing.....yet EDITED video. Yes, it was edited. You can see in the second stage there was a slight hicup in the video. Still, remarkable job nonetheless. I\'d be lucky to finish the first stage in 18 hours. ;)
-
Man I didn\'t even know you got 1UP\'s for hitting consecutive enemies... This guy was just bouncin around on them and got 99 lives... Amazing...
-
LiC: Doki Doki Panic, and I feel the same way when I see people play games like that. :)
These guys probably spend all of their free time practicing, because the average gamer (hardcore or not) isn\'t that damned skilled at any specific game.
About Doki Doki Panic.. it was a Nintendo collaboration. Yeah, they decided to slap Mario and friends in there.. but the game was developed by Nintendo from the get-go. Since Nintendo felt that US gamers weren\'t nearly as skilled as Japanese gamers, they scrapped plans to bring the more difficult SMB2 (aka Lost Levels) to America and instead opted for the Doki Doki Panic treatment.
I don\'t think that it had anything to do with rushing a game out, a more plausible negative spin to throw on the game is that it was a lazy choice. They took a released Japan-only game and Mario-ized it. SMB3 was built from the ground up as an upgrade to the gameplay mechanics of SMB1. They did the same thing with Zelda:LTTP, although I\'m pretty sure that Miyamoto always intended for Zelda II to be a Zelda game.
-
Luke, Jumpy has had that pic for weeks.
Where have you been, man?
-
All I can say is, wow, what a loser to practice one game that much. Accomplished feat, yes. But come on, who really has that much free time. Must have no life, let alone know what a woman is.
-
Hey now, he knows what a woman is.
It\'s that.. persony.. thing that you save when you beat the game..
-
I don\'t think I\'ve posted anything plus 1 week ago Bob for a mighty long time. :P

They created Pokemon, they complete Mario 3 in 11 minutes, their porn is very very sick and twisted, they get stoned and create games with Blue Hedgehogs, and they probably Jack off Monkeys for fun...
The Japanese,don\'t you just love them?
(not when they get in your way in london with those HUGE cameras round their necks taking photos of cafe signs and stones in rivers etc)
Don\'t even get me started on Pearl Harbor...
-
whoa, just watched this video of the guy finished the game in 11 minutes for the first time. Yes, I am bringing this thread back because i thought it was interesting. Very cool and i didn\'t know some of the things were possible in the game. I learned some secrets watching the video that i didn\'t know before.
Amazing.
And for those who haven\'t watched before...
here is the Link (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/moSMB3.wmv)
just remember to right click and save.
-
btw this thing was a fake he played on an emulator and saved every second or frame so when there was no room for any error.
-
How do you know? You have a link to this?
-
I thought it was common knowledge?
-
And its common knowledge that some people are game geeks?
-
The game\'s been out for like 15 years. I thought this kid was just some really big nerd who practiced for years and then finally took many takes by hooking his NES to his computer and constantly recording it and posted the fastest one online :)
