i watched the pre-show to the actual show earlier this week..and i have to say i think they have the categories way out of wack. Some games they have in certain categories just should not be there. Anyway i guess i\'ll be checkin it out 2nite. Seems like this is just going to suck tho. ..views..thoughts?

All awards shows suck hard.

I tried to watch G4\'s awards and it was the most boring pile of crap of a show ever.

\'cept for "CAPTURED! BY ROBOTS" cause they rule.

that was thee most wackest show eva! Everytime a game won an award,they have these cheerleaders dancin around & some lame ass band perform.

also how can enter the matrix be best game based on film? That game was crapola. They should have considered the Thing.

next i know i\'m gonna catch heat for this but madden..game of the year? i didn\'t watch it long enough to know whether they did a best sports game but even if they did the games that won had no competition. What happened to sega espn football or fever? Madden should have at least went up against those two.

and best animation? doa?! get the **** outa here! ok i\'m startin to rant, but you can tell that the show just catered to the big publishing companys & popular games..total bs.

I saw the whole thing and I was very disappointed. They didn\'t read any nominees, they just said them and went on with stupid acts and jokes. The only part I liked on it was when the guy who played Tommy Vercetti made his speech. That and the two wrestling chicks (even though that sucked too, just to see two chicks attack eachother was fun :) ). I just hope next year they do a much better job.

Thanks omen. I kept trying to remember his name all day. Yes I could have looked up in my Vice City manual but that would make sense, now wouldn\'t it :)

My friend was telling me yesterday that the VGA awards are just one way to advertise games. I also found it kind of funny that the winners were mostly newer games that just came out. The oldest ones were Splinter Cell and Vice City (and Madden).
