Title: Cleaning the Ps2
Post by: Metal Gear on December 15, 2003, 03:51:56 AM
I was thinking about cleaning the ps2 from dust by using a hand-vacuumcleaner to clear out the vents(the one at the back and the one at the front).I always keep my ps2 in standby. Now is my question:can you leave it in standby when you clean it with a vacumcleaner or do you have to shut it off.

And does anyone have any suggestions on cleaning it another way cause the ps2 attracts dust like an English teacher at a pressconference.   :hat:

Thanx in advance.

Just turn it off to be sure, how hard can it be to flick the switch & pull the plug out?

I recommend you play a game while you vacuum it, and while you\'re at it, place it next to something extremely magnetic...j/k

I just went out and bought a can of compressed air that you get get at any electronics store or office supply store.  Blast out the vents and blast the fan blades in the back as well.  After that I also run a CD lens cleaner through to get any dust that might have settled on the lens.

Works for me
