...your ideas!
What would you like to see in a zombie movie? What annoys you with current movies, or what do you dig?
-
Do you want to do what annoys us or are you wanting to avoid doing wht annoys us?
-
Well, the idea was to use the good ideas and avoid what\'s cliché and annoying. ;)
-
Cool. SOmetimes people want to make movies that are purely cliche and annoying.
What if you had a zombie with multiple personalities?
Oh, and the personalities change every time someone hits the zombie. Eventually the victims figure it out and whack the zombie until it gets to the nice personality.. Perhaps a computer repairman. Than they have them install more ram...
That idea may need a little tweaking.
-
Yeah, I\'ll take that one into consideration. ;)
And I\'ll be sure to mention you in the credits. :D
-
OK, out of the box here.
What if the zombie in one of his rampages attacks the cameraman shooting the scene?
-
Sometimes you want the hero or SHE-ro(Hero\'s cousin) to die and have one of the secondary characters live. The secondary characters are usually a lot more likeable.
[EDIT] I talked about an extremely crappy zombie movie in my journal. As long as your movie is nothing like that then you are on the right track.

Actually I like that one... would make it pretty intense.

Yeah, that\'s not bad either. Or, you could just have the zombies win... hehe, that\'d make for a dark ending!
-
I agree about the main character dying.. That is always my biggest complaint.
You always know a scene is going to play out alright because the main character is in it and you know he\'s going to live.
Sure, have him make it quite far, but then axe him and transfer the main character duties to someone you\'d least expect.
In regards to the camera guy getting axed you could bring the audience into it by making it almost feel like it is no longer a movie. It\'s a real thing happening. Almost like the character in the movie gets posessed and really thinks he\'s a zombie and starts pummeling the camera guy.... Blah blah blah.. Shit you want me to shoot it for you too? ;)

To piggy back off that idea. What if all of the scenes were from the perspective of the main characters? Kind of like the Blair Witch Project minus the suck.
-
Oh man, you guys are on fire. I love it. :D

Yeah, that\'d be great. Unfortunatly I don\'t think I can afford the plane tickets. ;)

Also make one of the zombies a dead ninja. On a scale of 1-10 on the greatest monster charts that would be a 45.
-
 @ dead ninja
Zombies are usually not very flexible, so how would a zombie ninja use his powers? :D
-
You know if Denmark needs sperm like the Aussies do, maybe I can get a free trip to Denmark?

Training. While the other zombies are feasting on brains he could spend his time reading books and stretching. You could cut to a scene of him doing Ninja Zombie Tai Chi, which is similar to Old People Tai Chi only it is filmed in a matrix style with the camera going around him a lot and rock and roll playing in the background.
-
Perverted zombies that rub their crotches vigorously until their genitals fall off. They then beat their victims to death with the severed member.
-
if you put a black guy in it make sure he lives! ;)
and no heros with matrix fighting abilities.
-
There\'s always a complete idiot that the viewer doesn\'t like, he/she usually dies slower and more painfully than eveyone else (Day of the Dead, pulling the guy\'s head off with a squeak anyone?). Make sure this person survives, it\'s more realistic as arseholes can also do well in life.
Maybe a theme park needs to be involved, I wonder what a zombie getting hit by a rollercoaster would look like!
And also, I don\'t think a celebrity has ever just shown up as a zombie, let\'s see, maybe Wierd Al Yankovic or someone like that.
-
Zombies do not run.
Make sure of this.
Hero\'s do not know martial arts.
Keep them in an enclosed space.
Do not let them run around town. No fear in that. They need to be isolated.

Stop deleting my posts, just because some times I\'m annoying to you, doesnte mean you have to delete everything.
My cliches:
Happy endings; Seriously, life isnt always like this.
Love; Just because it sells, doesnt mean it works. Honestly.
The "super" mainn character; I mean c\'mon he is a truck driver, not a ****ing Jackie Chan
Extremely Bad Aim Bad Guys; Triple X for example. Thats ****ing pathetic.

how about a zombie flick where the zombies go in and out of zombie state at random, and the lead character thinks he/she\'s going crazy \'cos friends are trying to kill them, etc.
then it turns out that the lead char is also zombified, and doesn\'t realise it, or that they\'re just crazy.

Sounds good, I think ive heard of a movie like that before.
Here is my Zombie movie idea.
The year is 3019. The world is a dump, and bodies are skewed everywhere because of the lack of land to bury them in. Due to a large population boom, the people are suffering.
A scientist invents a prototype device that can restart a humans cells and in return give them their life back. This seems as though a cure to the bodies, but many people are against it, because the population is booming already.
He does it.
The people that have died recently (1 year?) come back to life. They are zombies, and humans are forced to retreat because the machine altered their cells significantly and they now hold magnificent strength but are rather slow, due to bone destructure.
20 years later, the zombies still flood the earth, and humans are forced to live in small villages heavily armed. Its almost like a dark age.
The scientist from earlier decides to try is still inventing, even though he is banned from all civilization. He has an apprentice (19?). The new machine can be used on living humans and actually change their cells the same way as to the zombies.
The man on his deathbed decides to use the the machine on the young man, without him knowing, becuase its his only chance to use it.
It is used, and gives birth to humans only hope.
He is forced to cope with extreme pain, and is afraid to fight for man, because what they did to him, and his friend (scientist). Every night he terrorizes the villagers, but they believe it is a zombie.
He in return has no idea...
Dude, Ill shut up now... I got carried away.

Though not a true zombie flick. I enjoy the 10 second rule out of 28 days later.
With that said zombie flicks are leaving it\'s roots. The reason the zombies are able to spread is because of one not wanting to kill their loved ones. The little girl in the basement of NOTLD is a great example of that. In dawn it touches upon it briefly in the apartment building where the people keep their zombie loved ones in the basement. I would love to see a movie from ground zero. Mom and dad\'s not wanting to kill their kids. Or grown kids not being able to kill their parents.
In DOTD Romero hints at the zombies going places they felt at home. So I would love to see when Mom dies. She comes home to take care of her family.
The movie should end when the last character they are following dies. No Hollywood ending.

Haha Spudz, I think you should be an author. :D
EDIT: BTW, thanks for the contributions. :)

Not exactly what you are looking for, but you should check out versus. A japanese zombie flick.

The best and newest zombie evolution was \'28 Days Later\' where they are not really "zombie\'s", but infected people who are rabid animals. Only part I did not like was the fact that they could run.
