Title: Good lord, these people are f\'ing assholes..

To say the least, PETA is testing my patience. To say the very least.

Over the past year alone they\'ve undermined the Holocaust, Jesus Christ (whether you believe in him or not, that is sick) and now our parents with these horrible advertising campaigns. Where\'s the line? They\'re going out to Nutcracker shows across the US and trying to alienate children from their parents because of animals, that\'s essentially what\'s happening here. The real question is how much heroin it takes to get to this point. :)

No offense to vegetarians, but this is sickening behavior..

What the hell?Ok I disagree with animal slaughtering and I am a vegetarian but this is far fetched.Innocent children will start seeing their parents as savages. Its a form of sickening propaganda. If they want children to become vegetarians  or reduce animal consumption atleast do it the right way.Not scare and manipulate their minds

Yeah, exactly Bozco. I support vegetarians (hey, you can get your protein elsewhere nowadays) but I don\'t condone going out and being a vege-extremist or any sort of extremist. Just like I support G.W.Bush and the Republican Party but I\'m not a fascist.

Shock isn\'t the best way to get your point across, and half-truths are practically lies; PETA uses both.

It\'s even worse that they go after the kids, though. Sad.

That advertising leaflet was not an attack on meat eaters.  It\'s an attack on the fur industry.  Wearing animal pelts and furs is wrong, when the animals are harvested for that sole purpose.  I\'m not against wearing leather, since cows are used for food as well as skins.  However, there are enough other natural and synthetic fibers available to make furs unnecessary.  I\'m behind them on that issue.

HOWEVER, I agree that pitching their cause by appealing to kids at performances of "The Nutcracker" is way over the top.  PETA activists think they\'re on a holy mission to change the world, and like all zealots, they sacrifice credibility in the process.  I wish they would adopt a more low key approach to this problem.

It\'s a leaflet, not a movie.

I love their ad\'s and campaigns.

I also love to eat dead animals.

I\'m a walking contradiction.

Rock on Peta.

I know it\'s about fur coats, but it doesn\'t make much of a difference.

For thousands of years, we\'ve been using animals like this. It\'s not going to stop until we have replicators.. :)

All joking aside, animals have little purpose outside of nature. They don\'t have aspirations outside of survival. It\'s survival of the fittest and most intelligent, and the human race stands alone in this category.

Some animals get taken as pets and treated as miniature humans as much as possible, most remain free, and many get bred solely to die for our use. Survival of the fittest. If you don\'t want to endorse the "murder" of animals for our benefit, don\'t eat meat and don\'t wear certain garments. Please, just don\'t go out into the street with a holier-than-thou attitude and a brain-dead "animals=/>humans" sensibility and expect rational folks to take you seriously.

Ok so our kids are going to grow up hating parents even more because "mommy kills".  Anyone else see something wrong with that?  Go after the people that wear the fur, not the kids.

I guess their point is that now there are synthetics that are just as good as the real thing.

But they are still whackos and pretty much everything they do makes them look more and more stupid.

I would never buy a fur, but it has absolutely nothing to do with these whackos.

The meats from the furry animals are NOT wasted. They are used as pet foods. I\'m gonna find a PETA activist and eat him.

well i remember when i was like around ten i went to a slaughter
house. And i saw this cow hung on either a hook or rope. anyway
the butcher took this big a** blade & cut it down the middle of it\'s stomach..everything just slid out of it. it was actually disturbing & kinda sad. that said it didn\'t stop me from going to wendy\'s, but what these people are doin is just extreme.

mm... I actually bought iron-on transfers just so I could wear that around... believe it or not, but Buffalo is left-wing vegan-hippy heaven.

BTW I am currently slow-cooking a venison roast in my crock pot.

I\'m taking it to the Bills-Miami Game on sunday, where I have 50-yd line seats, and will be tail-gating like a mo-fo.
