I am currently a senior in high school and 4 of my closer friends who went off to college this year had some breaking news for me when they came back from the 1st semester. Two of these friends I have grown up with since the age of 3 and the age of 5. These are all guys mind you.
So anyways, they have always acted kind of well, weird at sometimes but never too weird. What im trying to say is....they all told me they were all gay. Now im kind of scared shitless because these guys are my friends and we swam in pools in the summer and had huge sleepovers and shit 10-14 year olds do. Now i dont mean to sound like Racer or anything, but this weirds me the hell out. I mean, my one friend i\'ve known since i was 3 tells me at the mall, hey i have something to tell you. I\'m gay. What am i suppose to say to that? High five? Good job? Dont pound my ass?
It doesn\'t change much. They still are my friends. But it just feels really weird when they ask me to do something like play videogames or go out to the movies or anything.
Anyway, has anyone else had this happen before or have any long time friends who turned out to be gay?
-
4 of them? at the same time? Have you thought in a joke?
-
What do they, travel in packs where you live?
I\'ve never heard of a story like that. I\'d be freaked out, too.
If you\'re so uncomfortable, maybe hang out with them when you\'ve got your/a girl with you or if you go to the movies invite some other dudes so it doesn\'t feel like a lost episode of Queer Eye.
But clearly these kids are cool enough, so just don\'t let any other assholes pick on you when they find out.

Yer just going through the shock. After a while, you\'ll accept them for who they are. Remember, they\'re the same people....they just don\'t wanna compete for the same women as you. :p

i\'d feel kinda weird. but are they "happy gay?" or "manly gay?" i mean if you cats were kickin it hagin out & now they\'re walkin like a diva, then i\'d feel strange but if they are still the same you know look the same act etc..but are just gay.. either way they are your boys so i wouldn\'t let it bother me.

Manly gay? Is there such a thing?!
Seriously though, this is a little strange, not quite sure what you should do really. I have a mate who\'s gay, but I\'ve always known him as being gay, so that doesnt really help. I gues the only thing to do is try and carry on as normal as possible, you still want these guys as friends right?! I\'m sure you\'ll be ok, If its too wierd, either make new friends, or if you cant beat em, join em!

theres nothing wrong with having gay friends
the girls will think youre sensitive, open-mined and non-judgmental and will want to have sex with you
and if your gay friends are really good friends they will explain to the girls they should have sex with you cause women trust gay guys and plus if you settle down and have a serious relationship with a girl you gay friend will become her friend then you have someone to come over and play playstation with and she has someone to take shopping and complain about her job to while you sit at home and drink beer and watch football
the positive to a straight male/ gay male friendship are quite numerous

What really curious me and probably a lot of forum members are "do any of your friends have a crush on you or one another?"
-
The fact that they came to you and told you they were gay means they have a lot of trust in you. Don\'t let it weird you out. They\'re still your friends and that doesn\'t change. Just give yourself time to get over the initial shock.
-
All four of them?!
IMO, it\'s not worth thinking on. They are the same people you grew up with, your friends.
Figure out what\'s making you uncomfortable about the situation and get over it...then you can go back to just havin\' fun.
-
Why care. Chances are you will not be friends for life. You will or they will move off, and you will forget about each other. Until reunion time of course.
-
Alright.
Do me a favor.
Pretend you don\'t know they are gay.
Did they come on to you ever?
No?
Did you all have plenty of fun?
Yes?
Seriously, I understand how it could be a lot to digest, but think of all the time\'s you guy\'s had. You don\'t have to be gay, to have gay friends and if they know your hetrosexual, I\'m sure they respect that, just as you should respect them. They are your friends. Have been since childhood.
-
Don\'t worry about it, I have a couple of really good friends who are gay. But I have only known them being gay, so it\'s a much differnet situation for you... especially since these guys were some of your closest friends growing up. Once you get past the irrational fear that they want to pound you in the ass, you\'ll see they are still your friends.
Damn though.... what freaking college did they go off to? Did they act "funny" before they left for school?
More girls for you! :thepimp:
-
Obviously you have given them teh ghey! Otherwise how would 4 of YOUR friends ALL be infectred?
J/k buddy. :)
Don\'t let it freak you out. Unless you think they\'re kinda hot.
-
Like most people have said, "more chicks for us."
-
I\'m rather surprised that you had no clue. I had a good friend in college who waited until our last week of senior year to tell me he was gay. I then exclaimed, "No shit shirlock... You just figure it out? I could have told you three years ago."

seriously though, he\'s right...

Well i guess it\'s better because they arent the stereotypical gays. The bad part is they all room together at michigan state and that or michigan are my current selections for college. But they dont like each other, which makes that situation better. It would get messed up if two of my long time friends hooked up..... i might even cry lol

you might cry huh?
naw I\'ll leave that one alone its too easy

Atleast they aren\'t coming on to you or anything. Plus they can get the trust of girls and help you to get together with them. There are ups and downs but don\'t let it affect your friendship with them. They are still the same people, just they let out a secret.
-
Sure none of the 4 have a crush on you? Who knows, maybe 1 does but didn\'t want to share. (look at Racer) just kidding. Gosh, i need to get a hold of myself, (try to maintain calm and not laugh.)
-
I never thought I\'d see the day when someone would pick up on the Dr. Phil thing.....*sigh*
-
Watch out Square if all your "closest" friends came out, maybe your next and just don\'t realize it! ;)
