Title: Most dangerous jobs
Post by: Titan on December 26, 2003, 12:32:57 PM
I didn\'t think a lot of these were very dangerous. I was pretty surprised but this article was pretty cool. Loggers have the highest death rates.

hey i deliver pizzas u ungrateful sob. :)  $15/hr on weekends to sit on your ass and listen to music.  It\'s a good job provided you have a reliable Japanese car and deliver in a nice neighborhood.  Oh and we get to eat the cancellations/messed up orders.

Do you spit on people\'s pizzas?

I always assumed you guys wrote down the phone numbers of non tippers and then touch their pizzas next time with your willie.

woohoo worked 3 hrs today and came home with $60.  That\'s $25.50/hr with hourly pay.  I can finally afford that solid gold mansion I\'ve had my eye on.

And no we don\'t screw with the pizzas.  There are way too many customers to keep track of em all.  We just key in on certain areas and pretty much know we\'ll get lousy or no tips.  Unfortunately can\'t do much about it.

You mean you don\'t screw with pizzas????  THen what the F#@$ am I tipping for????  Only reason I tip the delivery boy is to thank him for not peeing on my pepporoni.

All kidding aside, what do you expect for a tip?  IF I order a pizza for about 12-14 bucks I give 2 bucks.

$2 is fine but $3+ is always nice.  The only time $2 seems a little cheap is when the order is above $25 and/or your house is far away from the store.  As long as you don\'t stiff you won\'t be "remembered." :)  Honestly the only thing you have to fear is your pizza taking longer next time since no one will want to take the order and will try to skip over it if no one\'s looking.

Biggest tips I got were $20 from an old guy and $15 from a housewife.  I ordered a pizza last night and tipped the driver $7, but I got a good deal.

Tips go straight to the driver, right? The owner of the pizza shop doesn\'t take them, do they?

Cash, check, and CC tips all go to the driver.  Even better we only have to record our CC tips at the end of the day for tax purposes.  They are the only ones that have an electronic record.  Everything else is tax free and goes straight to buying our heroine.

if people tips too much, pizza delivery will get rich real quick for only delivering pizza.  Compare to other people who work much harder but get pay less and "more dangerous job."

ADD:  My sister work in a factory making carpet when she accidently put her foot in a machine.  It cracked her bones.  She worked there for 11 months and the accident happen.  She was sent to the hospital and they have to open up her foot and put screws on it.  She can\'t move her left foot for two months when the doctor finally open it up again and remove the screws.  And she make like $8 an hour.  Can\'t remember because she live in Georgia and I live in CA.
