Title: Croc Hunter = Jacko?
Post by: GigaShadow on January 02, 2004, 11:05:45 AM
One hangs a child out the window while the other dangles one near hungry crocs...

hehe, I like this dood a lot, seems like a genuine guy.  I think he\'s just trying to teach his kid about crocs at an early age.  He\'s handled gators for a long ass time, if he has a baby with him it\'s either totally safe or he wants to collect the insurance.

yea pretty stupid thing to do, but he has been trained with crocs for a long time, if you notice its not like hes dangling the baby infront of the croc..

but still, it was pretty stupid.

Croc Hunter at least has half a brain, Jacko doesn\'t.

I dunno, it might seem alittle irresponsible, but the man knows what he doing. I have been to Australia Zoo (he owns and runs it, massive joint) and those animals are incredibly well fed. He wouldn\'t have done it unless it was totally safe. He knows what he\'s doing.

BTW, does it look like his zipper is undone in that pic?

you are joking right? even if this cat knows what he\'s doin for publicity or whatever there\'s no way he should have put his child at risk like that. look what happened to that guy that had the tiger attack him. i\'m sure he was well fed,..also that that guy that had the tiger in his apt. i guess the croc hunter will say somthing like "what that gator?.. aww it\'s just a baaaby mate!"  i still like em tho. i just felt he shouldn\'t have done that!

It doesn\'t really matter if he knows what he\'s doing or not. For what it\'s worth, he could have had over 100 years worth of experience working with crocodiles, and it wouldn\'t change the fact that when you are dealing with a wild animal, you can never know for sure what it will do next. If he wants to put his life at risk, whether it\'s dicking around with crocodiles, or sticking his arm down a dark hole filled with rattle snakes, so be it, but to put the safety of a child at risk is downright unacceptable. If it were up to me, I\'d seriously consider removing that kid from such an environment, even if it means taking it away from it\'s parents.

With wild animals, you just can\'t afford to take the risk, there is no way of knowing what they will do next.

They say that the tiger wasn\'t trying to hurt him, only pull him off stage..... I\'ve seen weirder shit happen.

It doesn\'t bother me its his kid, people that get outraged over shit like this should mind there own damn business, now if the kid had got harmed it would have been his fault and still none of you\'lls business, you make it seem like he walked over croc\'s with the kid in his hand or jumped in the river with him

mind our business? we\'re just expressing our views on the situation. now do any of us REALLY care what he\'s doin? of course not! just our opinion...and if you watched the whole footage he actually put the baby down near the water next to the croc! who is this cat pitfall harry? oh & another thing..you must not have kids ;)

I heard that too. If the tiger wanted to kill him, it would have. It had the opportunity.

Now we\'re on the subject - I don\'t think his zipper is open... it\'s just the west thingy. But of course I might not have researched the picture as detailed as Racer might have. :)

 I wasn\'t even amazed when I saw who said it. I saw "I think his zipper is open" and immediately thought it was racer.

I wish the authorities came down this hard on parents who leave their kids in cars and don\'t feed them properly.

But you really can\'t predict what the crocodile is gonna do. I don\'t hate the Croc Hunter or anything, I think it was just a really stupid thing to do. If the kid was older, like 3 or 4, I wouldn\'t really care as much. I know he knows what he\'s doing and I\'m sure he\'s done it before but I just don\'t agree, under any circumstances, on bringing a baby into an area like that. I don\'t think he should get in trouble or anything for it (lawfully), I just think all this negative attention is what he deserves.
