Any of you watch the landing last night.

Wow, I bet they all went home and had sex with their blow up dolls after that one.  whew...

you know when you actually think about it truly is amazing that something like this is being achieved. space..the final frontier. On another note i thought we already sent something to mars a couple of years back.

It really is cool as shit.  How long is this one going to run around?  I guess another one should land soon or something.

That\'s a long freaking way away.

WHen they were trying to listen for the radio transmission when the lander hit the surface they said the power of the antenna that was transmitting was equivalent to a 15 watt light bulb.

That my friends is freaking amazing.  That they can read that little power millions of miles away.

The American landing was more sucessful than the British effort. We are still trying to contact ours after it "landed" 2 weeks ago, still no contact.

I\'d say european effort, Spain gave €15 million for the project (out of 300 or so) and among those 15 million there is a part of my taxes :p

Well it\'s funny that they\'re planning a tripulated mission to Mars in 2025-2030 and another to the moon in 2020-2025. If they are supposedly reached the Moon some times, why this planning? I personally think that they\'ve never been on the moon. I saw a show on tv in which several specialist discussed about the ttheory of the fake moon missions by USA. There were an image expert, a photographer, an informatic, an astronaut, a scientific and such people interested in the matter. I got the concluson that people has never been to the moon. Every picture has failures, they\'re all fakes. Sad.

They said it takes 9 minutes w/Spirit\'s supersize antenna to transmit data back to the Earth.

I hate to change this to a discussion about our moon mission, but I do have one question...  Why have they never shown a shot of our flag on the moon?  It just seems like with the telescopes we have no out their in space we could get a shot of our flag up there.

That\'s a cool question. Best telescopes nowadays could show you a stone of a tennis-ball size over the moon\'s surface. Why do not capture the flag?

Well it\'s not changing the topic. Both are extraterrestrial missions.

It\'s amazing that the panoramic of nothing excites me, it\'s just desolate wasteland.  Also, can the lander travel to capture pictures of other places on Mars?  I\'d like to see the Valles Marineris.

Copy and Paste? ---> The astronaut was leaping

Flag unfurled ---> there\'s a wire on the top edge of the flag and since there\'s no air to slow down the movement of the flag caused by the astronaut, it kept moving for a while.

No stars ---> the camera was set to high speed coz it\'s EXTREMELY bright on the moon so the light of the stars would not have shown. You know this Adan if you know about basic photography.

Too many Stones ---> meteors will break on impact on the moon since it has no atmosphere to burn the meteor up like on Earth.

We landed on the moon. Get over it.

Now that we have seen Mars, let\'s go somewhere else. I\'d love to see another planet\'s surface.

Adan, read this link. It refutes every arguement you have. I actually used it in an essay for school.

Thx Titan. I cannot assure they weren\'t on the moon. I can only state that I don\'t believe a word of Nasa missions to the moon. They should begin releasing non-photoshoped pictures from the missions and real data (Scientists in a satellite program showed over here time ago laughed out loud when they were speaking about this matter and concerning the topic og the moon\'s rocks NASA says brought back: 300kgs wouldn\'t never allow that cartoon box to take off).

I\'m still not seeing all these photoshopped pictures.......

And do you believe that we have a lander of Mars?

There are too much evidence supporting the landing on the moon. Why won\'t you believe those? What about my explaination to you about your questions you posted on that picture?

Opportunity landed and is in a totally different landscape.

Apparently they are finally getting spirit to chat with them as well.

Look above, they are onto a solution for fixing the problem that it ran into for a little bit.

They think the problem with spirit was with the software. They were happy that Spirit\'s memory was flash else it would of erased it self. Also, they are worried that it might run out of power b/c it hasn\'t gone into Energy Conservation mode for 3 straight days, so they are afraid of losing power. They are hoping to get Spirit up and going in a couple of weeks.

Those pictures sure are amazing. I mean this is a planet we are looking at, not the moon, an actual planet that has never been visited before. Opportunity landed in a spot that NASA scientist believe appears only when water creates it. Wouln\'t it be something if they found any evidence of water in mars?

I would have something to shove into my girlfriend\'s friend Xristian ignorant face...

I am against all these rovers goin\' to Mars. What are we goin\' to do when the under-dwellers decide to come up and kill the rovers? How will America react to the loss of the rovers? Send more and have them slaughtered? Will we catch on that another form of life exists and has destroyed our equipment? Or will we just pass it off as a hardware / software problem?

Ah, the questions.
