coo! His said purpose was to back up his own discs, I don\'t think the MPAA should control how you use your movies in your own home.
-
he said his purpose was to allow people to backup their own movies. I totally agree, nothing should have copy protections. Why even bother, they always get around them. if it can be made, it can be broken.
-
But did he reverse-engineer the current DVD drivers or did he just create his own from scratch? It\'s been so long since this started I can\'t remember.
-
Didn\'t he revers engineer it?
-
he didn\'t do anything with the actual cracking and reverse engineering of the DVD-encryption. He only made the GUI for deccs or whatever it was called. It was a German hacker that hacked the encryption.
-
Well in any case he\'s already hard at work trying to crack the Apple AAC format now

LIC has contacted me to go to that kid\'s house and break his fingers and choke him with a mouse cord. I think LIC is fronting for RIAA. I won\'t be nought that easily....although a ham sandwich might do the trick.
