That\'s for posting this!  I randomly ran across it, but couldn\'t find the game on CC\'s online store, so was wondering if it was a local thing or a temporary fluke, but a friend and I decided to go into the store anyway...

Two copies left--cha-ching!  :)  Spectacular!  And so utterly, utterly random.

(I think that would be a rather amazing marketing ploy to get gamers constantly in the store, though.  One week a month--which shifts so no one knows which one--they reduce a good/popular/new game out of nowhere to $10-20 and keep it up.  I\'d have to drop by on a regular schedule just to hope I could keep up!  :worship:

this is not good in a sense. good for consumers yes, but not good for ubisoft. damn this proves that the game didn\'t sell well, and that\'s a shame,.. game is damn near perfect. it\'a sleeper hit no doubt. i was looking forward to the sequel as well but it doesn\'t look like that\'s going to happen :(

Why do you say that?  I remains highly-rated, has only been out since mid-November, and ONE chain had a random, short sale on ONE version of the game (PS2).  Offhand, I write it off as something "weird" and a miskeyed entry on their part they they had to live with, or a wacky promotion stunt.

It\'s no top-seller, but as I haven\'t seen any sales numbers so far--and considering the oddball circumstance, I certainly wouldn\'t write it off as you suggest without other information.

that could be true, but they are selling it lower than a greatest hits price. like i said before i hope not. on the other hand i heard somrthing about them promoting prince of persia where if you buy it you also get splinter cell free...not sure where i read that tho.

It\'s called a loss leader.  They are hoping you come back where they can make a profit on other games.
