Title: Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Post by: GmanJoe on January 10, 2004, 07:09:09 AM
Story wise, better than Snatch but Snatch was funnier.

Anyone else see this movie? If you liked Pulp Fiction, you\'ll like this movie. Only problem I had was keepig up with the heavy accent. If they all spoke like Richard Burns, I\'d understand much better. :)

I had to use subtitles on it for a while until I could train my ear.  I liked that movie a lot. I loved the style of it.

Oh, and welcome to the year 2000

Yeah, I just got the movie last night. And by the way, it was before 2000. It was 1999. So, you\'re late too Vid. :D

It\'s a less mature version of \'Snatch\'. I prefer \'Snatch\', but still, \'Lock , Stock and Two Smoking Barrels\' is a great film, unlike Guy Ritchie\'s last film, \'Swept Away\'.

Madonna forced him to. Such a waste of good film. "Film" as in the material.

Lock,Stock and two smoking barrels was made looooong before Snatch.Snatch was only funny to the people that hadn\'t seen LSATSB because Snatch was pretty much more of the same(a lot more Americanized(if that\'s a word))   :fro:

Still....I liked both movies.

Sntach was much more mature. The directing, the story, the actors, everything about that film was more mature than LSATSB.

Was she just being nice because you enjoy it? I have shown them to quite a few women, and the comment stupid always rears its ugly head. Then again maybe she was just referring to me.:(

Nope. She prefers "Snatch" coz of the comedy aspect and the wild twisted plot. She was a bit confused with the heavy English accents in Lock Stock as well as the street slang they used but towards the end, she was enjoying the wild showdown among the different motley crew.

I loved both movies, though I found Lock Stock to be the superior.
