my ps2 wont play dvd movies without a password, i bought it used how do i get four digit code please help.
-
This comes up from time to time, so I\'m sure someone knows the answer.
Until then, try guessing. Most people just use 0000, or maybe 1234.
There is a way around it, though. Stay tuned. :)

There is a universal code printed in the instruction booklet I think. This should overide whatever it\'s been set to.
-
mine came as xxxx (kinda random I know)... i\'ve never bothered with changing it, although I know you can.
-
I didn\'t recall any code in mine. Is this a new feature i never knew about? O_o
-
Heh, it\'s an old feature you never knew about.
You can set a parental lock out on DVDs with ratings like R.
I don\'t remember how, and most people don\'t, because it\'s not particularly useful.
Ironically, the parents who would use it, are probably not monitoring their children anyway, let alone aware the option exists.

my ps2 came with the lockout already enabled. I prompts me to enter my code to view any movie above PG rating...
I\'ve long lost my ps2 manual, does anyone know how to get into the setup and disable the parental control? I know it\'s buried in the settings.

I never had any such problems with mine.

It\'s in the manual people.
AND READ THE RULES regulars. Don\'t post the codes. It\'s in the manual, and we have no way to know if the people you are giving the master code to are of age or not.
