Hah hah.  I knew this would happen.  I hate cellphones.  I don\'t own one, and I don\'t need one.  Some day all these lazy SOBs, the ones who walk around all day yapping into a cellphone, annoying me with their chatter, fumbling in their purse for the ringing phone, driving with a distracted glazed look while yammering on a cell phone, will keel over from brain cancer, and I will do a little superiority dance.  :D

I got one this christmas but it\'s only for emergency use if I break down in the middle of nowhere in my motor.

I prefer to scream out of my window to call my neighbors.

I don\'t have a traditional land line, both me and my wife have cell phones only.

What\'s lazy about having a phone you can carry around with you and use anywhere and everywhere?

I\'ll wait to see more widespread results like this before I think twice about my brain leaking.

Cellphones can contribute to lazyness if you use them to avoid planning ahead.  I constantly run into people who go shopping without knowing what they need to buy, drive somewhere without knowing where they\'re going, or try to fix something without knowing how to do it.  They use the cellphone to bail them out by calling someone else to guide them through the operation.  It drives me f**king crazy, expecially when I\'m the one they call.

To me resourcefulness means making use of limited resources to solve a difficult problem.  The people I described are known for ignoring abundant resources, and shifting the labor and responsibility to others in their life who are required to help them complete the simplest tasks imaginable.  This used to be a nation of self-sufficient individualists, but now we\'re becoming a bunch of helpless dimwits who can\'t be bothered to write a shopping list.

God forbid anyone should keep a map in their car, or even learn how to read a damn map, when they can just call so-and-so and get them to explain how to get somewhere.  If they get lost, well it must be because they got bad directions... It can\'t be because they failed to plan how to get somewhere before entering their SUV.

Have to agree with Cored on this one. Cell phone\'s are for lazy people who think they are so cool. I personally hope, that it is proven that cellphones give brain cancer, that way we can rip them off of the market and I never have to hear another f**kin\' annoyin\' ringtone.

Thank you.

I have a cell but I\'m not crazy about it like the average teenager who has their digital camera, and downloaded hip hop ringtones, and screen savers, face plates, and flashing lights, etc.

This is it:

(https://psx5central.com/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.freecellphonesguy.com%2Fimages%2Ffree-cell-phone-shop-nokia-3390-gold.gif&hash=f48a68511fe0959153f575a54812fd6a1ade2d4a)

I\'m with T-Mobile and get 300 minutes a month, and unlimited weekends. I never use it to sit and have long conversations with, it\'s simply an easy way for me and others to get in contact briefly, and I rarely talk for over 10 minutes. On weekends however, I may talk longer.

But my point is that they are really convenient to have and are just one of the many new advancements in technology which make life just that much easier.

Does it make life easier or make people lazier?

I like when people go to order food at like Burger King and they are blabbin away and you are tryin to take their order and you cannot understand if they are talkin to you or the person on the phone..
Then they get mad at you for not listening the first time...

I swear people who complain about cellphone "laziness" will change their minds after about a month of casually using one.  I use mine about every other day, it\'s gotten me out of some jams and just made life easier in general.

Who made the rule that phones have to be attached to a cord in order for the user to be classified as active?  In fact I bet people who use cell phones regularly get more done in a shorter amount of time.

You all also annoy all of us non-phone users. I don\'t want to listen to a phone ring when I go out to eat. Which means, I don\'t want to hear your phone across the table goin\' off with some cool ringtone. Same applies to cinema\'s. Or at Wal-mart check out line. Or while you\'re driving and not watching the road.

hehe why are you segregating it like that?  Ringing cell phones also annoy me.  Mine\'s on vibrate.

There\'s some places I make sure my phone doesn\'t ring but if you can\'t handle it ringing in a checkout line then you\'re a spaz.

Why would you bitch about someone using a cell phone?  I mean in a theater, or while ordering drive thru, etc.  That can be annoying.  But what\'s wrong with ust talking on a cell phone?  Many people ONLY have cell phones now.  So does that mean he/she has to drive back home in order to use it?

Loud rings are what annoy the f*** out of me.  Not the actual talking.  Unless of course you are in a theater.  Then I want to punch you.

WAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAH

Stop crying. Movies I\'ll give you, but the other shit is just a bunch of bitchin. If they answer their phone within 5 seconds why should you be upset?

Because no one else wants to hear that damn phone. Have the common courtesy to turn the f**kin\' thing off or put on vibrating mode when you go into a public place.

Distinct difference and you know it.
Foot steps = perfectly natrual and cannot be avoided.
Cell phones = not natrual and can be avoided.

Agree\'d and I dislike people who talk loudly during a movie or loud at any public event. Talk so that only the other person can hear you. Do not be loud. No one wants to hear it.

Yes, people YAPPING on a cell phone can be annoying.  Haven\'t you ever been in a quiet place like a bookstore, and noticed some airheaded woman wandering around the store, chattering on a cellphone, completely oblivious to her surroundings?  When dumb people get started on a cellphone conversation, they enter a transcendental state and pay no attention to their environment.  Their feet carry them in a meandering course, so they can be sure to cover every square inch of the store and ensure that EVERY patron hears every detail of the conversation.

Sorry, but I DON\'T want to hear about how your mother in law is a b*tch, or why your boyfriend didn\'t ejaculate last night, or why your terrier needs to be taken to the veteranarian.  I DON\'T GIVE A F*** AND I DON\'T WANT TO HEAR IT.  People need to learn some manners with regard to cellphone usage.  :(

Haha... Coredweller does highlight some good points. When my phone rings, I usually go to a quiet spot to answer it, just for my own conversation\'s sake. But I don\'t have a problem with cell phones, just another one of life\'s conveniences.

But the one thing that drives me nuts are these hands-free devices that are getting really popular. Do people understand how ridiculous they look just carrying on these conversatoins with themselves? It\'s so stupid, especially the chicks that use them at my work. I\'m like, "Erm... who\'re you talking to?" And then they get all mad, "YOU!11 WHO DO YOU THINK I WAS TALKIN TOOO?@?!!?!". Holy crap, throw that hands-free stuff in the garbage. Unless you\'re a telemarketer you don\'t need one.
