Haggis? Was this recipe concocted by Gollum? Who the hell cooks things inside a sheep\'s stomach and then eats it?
-
pfft that\'s nothing.
Around my parts we have our version of Haggis, sheep blood pudding cooked in a a sheeps stomach.
Svið, even more grusome, is basically just a sheeps head, eyes and tongue considered especially good.
Hrútspungar, sheeps balls, I kid you not in the old times people didn\'t waste good food so they ate everything.
Hákarl, sour shark bits
and more goodies

Haggis is Good eating.
so its squirrel…goldfish & beaver….
Especially the beaver

I quit reading this thread when I saw sheep blood and sheep stomach reffered to as food.

Nah, just that really good sticky mayonnaise.
-
Tripe is awesome but only the Chinese dim sum versions...
Anyone ever have or even heard of Swallow\'s Nest?
Extremely expensive; Costs several hundred $$$ for a few ounces...
Its an actual nest built by swallows (duh) and is a gourmet Chinese item.

America is not without its share of weird foods.
Anyone ever had chittlins(chitterlings)? Its basically cleaned seasoned and boiled pig intestines. I had it before I knew what it was and it tasted pretty good. Especially with liberal amounts of hot sauce. Now that I know what it is the smell usually makes me dry heave.

America\'s is quite few in comparison. Look, no one goes to the UK for its fine cuisine. Not even Brits, Scots, Irish, Celts....hell, even the Vikings stopped invading. The food is bland. That\'s why their favorite dish there is curry! And that Indian cuisine! :p
-
And that popular generalization of Brits having horrible teeth is directed towards their horrible diet.

:str8pimp:
I have an electric toothbrush. Itz teh bomb G(Unit).

I\'d love to travel to Japan one day, but I am in fear that I\'ll starve to death to while I am there. Being an American, I am extremely picky and closed minded to new foods, such as sushi or grilled eel.
-
^^
I hate seaweed, and as such can\'t eat Sushi. Everytime I smell it I just want to barf, its so disgusting. There is this Japanese take out place in the mall that I work in and they sell some pretty sweet stuff.
-
I love sushi. I\'m not too picky about my food so I can pretty much go to any country and enjoy their cuisine (except England  ). However, I won\'t eat rats, cats, dogs or dolphins and especially humans (well....unless they\'re vegiterian ;) ).

Tripe = cows stomach lining.

I\'m not picky at all... I can eat just about anything, and sushi is the bomb. To come to think of it, I can eat everything.
The only thing that tastes really bad is Cheez Whiz. That stuff is the most artificial crap in the world.

And I thought we were gross with our rotten fish, surströmming.
