I didnt know it got this cold!!!!!

My eyelids and nostrils almost froze shut walking to my car today...

I tried that trick where you throw a cup of boiling water in the air and it falls down as ice... It worked!

Boiling water freezes faster than regular tap water.  Something about the air molecules in it.

It can\'t freeze that fast though can it?  How long does it really take?

Yeah where I live(Moncton New Brunswick) we beat that number recently  with -46 C. That\'s -50.8 F. Two minutes and it will give you a nice little frostbite.

So, I guess the question is, did you go "streaking"?

Had a little snow today, not as much as was forcast and all the roads are clear etc. Air temp about 1 or 2 degrees C. Windchill blowing from the north is supposed to make it feel like -15 though.

Numbers here are just above 0 with wind chill.  After seeing some of the other temps posted here, I guess I can\'t complain.

The mediterranean climate is the best in the world and the Bay Area, at least the peninsula -- namely Oakland to San Francisco and down to San Mateo, has that climate along with those country\'s coasts bordering the Mediterranean Sea.  If you don\'t believe me, check out our weather and temperature.  This remains constant all winter long and the lowest it has dropped in a long time was down to about 35 degrees F and that lasted for a few hours.  It\'s not exactly the Carribean during the summer, but it\'s definitely comfortable at all times rather then the absolute extremes that states like New York and the like have.  It\'s great.

With temperatures that cold why don\'t you just kill yourself now and spair yourself the pain.

Again I\'d like to remind people of the -51 F we\'ve experienced recently. Wasn\'t just one day either, school was cancelled 4 days in a row due to extremely cold weather capable of giving you frostbites within minutes of exposure.

We don\'t get out of school because of the cold. Only on snow days and somedays we should be off but still go to school. Its utter crap. It was below 0 F (with windchill) here a week or two ago. I thought I was going to get frostbite just walking from the parking lot to my school.
