So I applied to Notre Dame and I was looking at the Admissions Chat archive, and came across this... Hopefully this isn\'t either one of you.

Hi, I am currently a high school senior at Pickerington High School Central which is located in central Ohio. I am ranked 1st out of 450 seniors, I received a 5 on both the AP US history and AP Chemistry tests I took last year. This school year I am taking 4 more AP level classes. I have a cumulative GPA of 4.4, and I received scores of 1470 on my SAT and 33 on my ACT. I am very involved with both extra curricular activities and community service. I am a member of the marching band, track team, cross country team, jazz band, and National Honor Society. Would you recommend that I apply for regular admission or early admission? Thank you for your response.

That resume\' is disgusting and disheartening to say the least. 1 out of 450? Perfect 5 on two AP tests? 4.4 GPA? 33 ACT?

Highly doubtful... My chances of getting accepted are only getting worse. Notre Dame was a dream school anyways, so it wouldn\'t be too big of a blow.
I applied to five schools:
1. Washington University in St. Louis (Huge dream school)
2. University of Notre Dame (Dream school, still a shot)
3. Vanderbilt University (Definite shot, still questionable)
4. Wake Forest University (More than likely to be accepted)
5. University of Florida (Backup school)
Few stats: 1220 on SATs (610 on both verbal and math), Weighted GPA of 4.2, ranked in top 5% of my class, taking the only AP class offered at my high school, Calculus. Varsity swimming, yearbook, and a butt load of other extracurricular stuff.
Borderline Notre Dame applicant, but my sister got in with an SAT score of only 1100. So who knows, I\'ll find out come April.

Ok this Dan kid is a complete asshole. He\'s one of those pricks that thinks he\'s better than everyone else because he gets better grades. I\'ve had the displeasure of having him in a few of my classes. Heh, sad part is even though he tries so hard he\'s definitely not the top kid in the school. Other people, myself included take classes we want to take even though it may hurt our GPA (My art classes are 4.0 and actually hurt my GPA even though I get an A in the class...go figure). I got a 33 on my ACT and I know a few people who got a 34 and one that got a 35. FYI it\'s not 450 it\'s 350. The school split last year.
Swifdi first you call up boz for a booty call and now you\'re trying to look up personal information on us. What\'s next a knock on the door?

I don\'t know him too well, just enough to figure out he\'s a tool. The only time I ever talked to him was threatening his life on a cross country trip. I was watching a movie and he was being all high and mighty, till I told him I was going to dismember him. And as Phil said, he isn\'t as smart as he thinks. Phil and a handful of other people are much smarter in his class alone.

Hah, I wasn\'t looking for information on you guys, I\'m seriously applying to Notre Dame and I was going through an Admissions chatlog. You guys should do me a favor and break his arms. Seems like you don\'t like him anyways.

DO you know what you want to go to school for? If you know what you want to do it helps find the right school for you. SOme schools are better than others in different things. It\'s not like I would go to Notre Dame if I wanted to get into Journalism. I would go to Missouri or UF. Business, engineering, etc. All are better at some schools and not at others.
It\'s nice to know what you want to do before you pick a school.

Hah... It wasn\'t like I spun around three times blindfolded and pointed at a list of schools. I\'m looking into Business or Engineering... I\'m really flexible at this point thats why the schools I chose have broad programs. Only thing I\'m staying far from is science and medicine.

Yeah as far as vid\'s post is concerned I\'ve already been accepted into UC\'s architecture program. Number 4 in the nation isn\'t so bad.

Even though chances are , once you start partying and doin\' drugs, you\'ll have a life altering experience and change your major about ten times.

I\'m going to a junior college at first then going to a state college hopefully. I think I can do it, right now I have a high B average.

I\'m calm normally but he\'s someone that thinks he is smarter than everyone around him. Look at me I have a 4.3 GPA so I am the greatest thing ever. And if you must know he was putting his knees into the back of someones seat and wouldn\'t quit because he said it was more comfortable for him that way. They bickered like little kids about it and my exact words were "I\'m going to beat your ass if you don\'t shut up". It was that simple.

Whats sad is admissions only gets the glory from an application and not testimonies from others like these. Sounds like a tool.

If you really want to be a prick maybe you could anonymously call ND admissions and say that your friend has been falsifying information on his application. That might work.
You could also say that you are black. That might work better.
Maybe you should do both(just in case).
