Okay here\'s the deal:
I was starting up SSX 3 and it didn\'t read the data on the memory card in slot 1.I re-inserted the memory card and then it worked fine. When I started a game with a new character the game would randomly go to the pause screen(the incom). It did this everytime I jumped or when I grinded on a rail.
Can you only re-insert a memory card when the ps2 is off or does this has nothing to do with this weird phenomenon? Is it a faulty controller?
What should I do?

it sounds like it might be ur controller, the same thing happened to me in Burnout 2 (although i thinhk i got a "re insert controller message), but i would expect you to get a message saying somethig like "re-insert conroller"

I changed the controllers and now it works fine.To test if it was the controller I played a multiplayer game by myself.(that\'s not a metaphore) :fro:
I played with the second controller(wich was initially the faulty one) and it didn\'t randomly pause in the multiplayer mode.
I think I\'ll switch back the controllers soon and see if it happens again.

Okay then.......can 1 of the mods post this in the main forum.

About my other question
Is it oke to switch the memory cards while you are in the game or do you have to switch the ps2 to standby or off.
-
I have switched mem cards both at browser screen and in game and it works fine.
-
Yeah as long as it\'s not saving or loading at the time there should be no problems in removing or inserting memory cards.Done it heaps of times.
