Title: 867-5309
Post by: Mr. Kennedy on February 03, 2004, 06:13:50 PM
Anyone fimiliar with the song by Tommy Tutone will know what I\'m talking about.  In the song their is a chorus and it repeats the number 867-5309, so me being as curious as I am I called it up... and well, it was disconnected.  I looked into it, and I found out I wasn\'t the first, apparently the song has been causing grief since the 80\'s.

And if your wondering what made me bring this up, there is a cingular commercial that uses the song as well as an episode of Family Guy.

Call me old-fashioned but what would drive your curiosity so high to call numbers you see or hear in the media?  Maybe I just don\'t have as many minutes as you. ;)

And what area code did you try?

BTW, there was a phone number recently in a movie and some chick in the Tampa area kept getting phone calls.  She friggen sued. Can\'t remember what happened or what the movie was.

That\'s really really gay.

I should sue a movie that used my name b/c I\'m getting tired of people saying it too much.

Actually, there is a distinct difference. A lot of people have your name, but how would you feel if someone gave out your number (including area code) to the whole country? How would you apperciate the phone calls? It really was quite stupid of the studio to go through with it. That\'s what the  555 area code is for.

The un-offical guide to 555 numbers and movie\'s / tv / ads / songs they are featured in.

Yes, I own you all with useless web-sites.
