Still, havin\' read the chat transcript I don\'t think this was a case of a teenager suffering from depression, but more of a teenager trying to show off in a chat room and be cool and guess what? It ended up killing him.
I like this part of the article the most.
The tech whiz\'s computer had shut down and locked itself automatically, so it wasn\'t until more than a week later that the family found out his death had had witnesses.
The kid sets his computer to shut down and have a password and all of a sudden he is proclaimed a "tech whiz"? Give me a break. If anything, this was just used to make me think the kid had some bright future in the computer field.

Maybe - but it was his choice. It was a stupid choice, but it was his choice, none the less. I will say that the kid obviously had such low self-esteem that he thought he was doin\' something impressive by taking pills on an online chat. do you have the part of where he is start taking pills. The chat only start off when he freeze the cam and get unconscious. I wanted the whole conversation from beginning to end. I wanted to know what really happen, like did the other pressure him to eat those drugs and do more of it or something.

I remember reading the chat log.
"I told u i wuz hardcore" Was the last sensable words coming out of his mouth. Then he started talking about sex, then he died. I don\'t know what to make of the chat if it\'s the norm on IRC or not but non of it wasn\'t particularly shocking until the end. They did not pressure him into it, they were not entirely focused on it, and they even worried about him later.
No matter how stupid of a decision he make I will say the world is better off having people like in APART of this world. We\'re a flawed being no matter how you look at it. Some just haven\'t gotten the knowledge yet to contribute something to society or are incapable to learn and be effective. He could of atleast been a person who works at McDonalds or some sort of low income job...Contributing something that is necessary to society. I don\'t believe his intention was to die. It\'s an unatural human instinct to want to cease living.

Well, i read the entire transcript. From about the time of 3:02 to 4:50 something, it was like nearly two hours that he took that many drugs. I think beside trying to impress other, he wanted to died. Unless you guys haven\'t suffer from depression, or know somebody who did, then you won\'t understand why someone wanted to kill themselves.
