....would you laugh and point at me? Would you say "You\'ve been HAD! Bamboozled! Hoodwinked! Befuddled! Taken to the Washers!"
I\'ve been approaced a few times a few years ago. Looks like they\'re making a come back.

Basically, a couple of guys approach you and say "Hey, you wanna help me out here? I delivered these speakers to a client but the distributor gave me one set too many! They\'re worth $5,000! I\'ll sell the surplus to you for $400!"
Anyone else been approached by "The White Van"?
and yes, I am not ashamed to say "This one does happen IN AMERICA!" :D

The white vans over here try to pick up children to "show them some puppies". ;)

Yea, it\'s happened to me before in the parking lot of AT&T before when I told the guy I wasn\'t interested he seemed pissed and acted like he was going to come after me, poor guy would have died that day if he kept coming.

Happened to me twice, but not in a while. Big box, POS speaker.

Yep happened to me in a Best Buy parking lot I seriously thought about it the problem was even though they were 5000 dollar speakers I still couldnt spend 400 on them without wife approval. So I guess I was saved.
(just to add I was afraid I was being setup by cops more than I thought i was getting bamboozeled)

ive had it to me, car parked near cash machine, calls u over, he has some waches, and they ordered to many.........hmmmmmm, bs

Yeah, it\'s bunk. I bought a pair of them from the guy who originally bought them. He paid 350 for them, and I paid him 80 bucks. I ended up taking them apart, and using the boxes, but nothing else. They\'re decent enough if you can get them for cheap, but if you shop around, you can get some damn nice speakers for $400 bucks. They\'re certainly not $5000 speakers.
