Is there a game like Mario Kart, but for the PS2?
I would like to get an animated fun driving game for Logan. He plays GT3, but I want something more fun.
I\'ve come to realize there are very few kids games for the PS2. They seem to all be for the Gamecube.
-
Crash Nitro Kart (http://ps2.ign.com/articles/440/440263p1.html)
Never played it, just heard that it was similar to Mario Kart, though of course not as good.
-
GC\'s are cheap, why not buy one? You, your wifey, and Logan can all play a ton of kids games out there.
If all he plays is one system he may grow up to be prejudiced, a fanboy!
-
Crash Nitro Kart is the only one. It gets seems to get hard fairly quickly though.
-
With the money you got you might as well buy him a go-cart.
-
Get a cube!
Mario Kart DD with 2-4 people is a riot, totally worth the GC price alone.
Then you can get games like Mario Party, Kirby\'s Air Ride, and Super Smash Bros. for more multiplayer goodness!
-
get a cube... ive come to realize that the GC is more fun than the ps2.
-
I was in the shops the other day and saw Bomberman kart.It was $50 and most games here are $100,and you usually get what you pay for.So I\'d say It may be lame but I just thought I\'d let you know.
-
Either get a GC and Mario Kart, or the original Crash Team Racing that came out on PSOne.

Yeah, tell me about it.Some games are even more, when I bought Ace Combat 4 I paid $115 for it.
-
OMG! how is there even a market for games at those prices!!
-
That\'s like $80 USD for a game.
Reminds me of the 16-bit days, heh.
What systems is Konami Crazy Racers on?
-Eik

GameCube is the answer to all your problems, Vid.
-
I\'m amazed at how well the graphics of CTR hold up for a last gen game. If it\'s not part of your collection already, it\'s a very low priced solution.
-
Yeah get him a gamecube with mario kart and smash bros.
-
I would, but he probably won\'t be really into video games until the next gen. HE can wait another year or so.
-
I agree, get him a Gamecube. I bought one recently and rented MK: DD for it. Some of the most sensless fun you\'ll ever have. Just get Donkey Kong and Diddy, set big arse bannanas all over the place and your sure to drive your pals nuts.

Totally agree... but if you\'re looking for more mature games later on then you will need to stick to your PS2 (GC has MG:TS coming but nothing else really), but as stated, GC kicks ass in multiplayer mayhem.
