When talk whent from the typical to chat about a new name for PSX2central and new direction everyone seemed really excited.  I know I was, but it\'s been months and so far all I have seen is a banner that looks way out of place with the rest of the site.  The place still speaks PSX2central all over it, along with articles that we\'re written ages ago.  

I figure this issue has been brought up before, but lately it seems people have avoided it.  It\'s amazing how well these forums survive on their own without the support of the site.  The boards actually support the site here, but imagine if the ball actually got rolling on getting the new look and recent news going.  

I know people lead busy lives but I was honestly looking forward to the change our beloved PSX2central was going to take.  I\'ve waited a while now, isn\'t it time someone fess up?

There\'s people all over the internet willing to write articles and such, please atleast go find some of them and bring them here..then this place will feel more like a site didicated to bringing us the latest news, previews, reviews..etc...  It\'ll no longer seem like a ghost town.

What was once one of the more popular PS2 fan sites on the internet has lost it\'s touch.  All that really remains is the boards, even they lost a heartbeat or two.  

Im not here to point fingers but I\'d really appreciate if someone could walk me through who\'s supposed to be behind the refurbishing and why they might not be doing it.

Weren\'t some frequent forumers writing articles at one time.  It might have been Ryu, I can\'t exactly remember.

Last bit of news was on Sept. 26 posted by arron concerning GT4 being delayed.

Latest previews were Silent Hill 2, MDK2, and ATV Off Road Furry

Latest reviews were Zone of Enders, Yana Cabilista, X Squad.

There were some reader reviews also writen but people pay more attention to the staff ones.  Anyways, that covers the important stuff.

Im glad the Madden site is doing well, I really am.  Nothing can take place of the main page though.  If the main page was kept up it would just throttle the Madden site even more.  From what I understand PSX2central had one of the better Madden leagues around but people are slowly forgetting.  Just like they are slowly forgetting these forums.  This place used to be killer, I mean litterally when people thought about PS2 fansites psx2central was usually mentioned somewhere in there.  With still a solid fanbase I feel Central can be nursed back to life if someone, crap anyone with the right type of knowledge dug in and concentrated some effort in getting things going again.


EDIT:

There was a time when you could walk into this place anytime of the day/night, week/month/year and find 15-20 people browsing at one time.  

I know Im not here much myself but one of the things that turned me away is the main page going bad.  But if the front page isnt going to be kept updated and fresh I guess we need to enjoy these boards and people while we can because everything will soon go down the crapper.

I always went through the main page before it tanked.  I say all this because the longer the site is held out on the more and more these  forums are going to become desserted.  Some very creditable members as it is have already taken an abscence.  Basically what Im saying is that the place is losing it\'s appeal.  

If the site is not going to be kept up to it\'s potential then why not do away with it all along, get a seperate domain just for the forums since they do pretty good on their own.  This way the site is no longer a matter and if the boards whent under something like "psx2boards.com" or "gamingcentralboards".....something of that nature they\'d do pretty well.  Now those were just tossed into the air, I know they suck but those names are just for example.

I say we do a name change when the PS3 comes out like PSX3Centralforums.com. But its just my two cents.

I understand what your saying about living this place up. With no main page this place will go down. Didn\'t they say bjorn went to prison or something? I know he has not been around here in a long while.

Well then that would explain alot of things........oh wait a minute, who the hell\'s paying for the site?  And if it is already payed for a year or so, how much longer till the place shuts down?

well the site is still listed in the most popular part of the web..it\'s holding it\'s own just on the forum aspect part of it. It would still be nice to see some more impending progress on the site as a whole tho.
