Look at it this way, PETA is a lost cause at least, they will never stop the use of animals for research or for food, they are outnumbered by large.

I\'m glad PETA has opposition. I support the The Center for Consumer Freedom 100% (the campaign against PETA I mean). We need animal testing. It sickens me that the people in PETA would chose a few lab rats over the life of a child. I had a friend die exactly one year ago from leukemia (which is a cancer of the blood) so PETA can shove their views up their ass. Its sad when a child dies from leukemia, but it seems to PETA that a rats life is worth more than a childs. F*** them.

Peta always reminds me of a simpsons quote;
"don\'t think for one second that a cow wouldn\'t eat you and everyone you care about if it got the chance"

Anyone here about some band playing a concert where they are going to give away human flesh to eat?  And the Peta president chick has gone on record that when she dies she wants to be eaten....  It amazes me how a group with a basically good idea of being mindful of animals and such can go so horribly horribly overboard.

I don\'t have any problem with PETA. I don\'t think it\'s right for them to be against testing medicine and stuff on animals(If that\'s even true). I don\'t think it\'s right for us to test gels, food and all that other bullshit we take on them that we don\'t necessarily need. There is a difference between using animals the right way for the future benefit of our society and using animals to test something that our society really doesn\'t give a shit about.

I\'m sorry for your loss. Hopefully using animal testing, we can find a cure and save more people from cancer. If I die, it will probably be from cancer.

You think they will make people stop?

No.

They are trying to get media coverage, no matter how rash they are. They have every right to say what they say. You hating them because they choose not to mistreat animals, is as bad as them mistreating animals.

I dont agree with most of PETAs stuff, but they have every right to honestly do what they want. You calling them assholes isnt very mature.

I never said they didn\'t have the right to. They have every right to but I hate them for shoving their beliefs down my throat and keep trying to get me to accept them as my own. I\'m tired of them saying that the life of an animal is more important than a human.

I really don\'t care if calling them assholes is mature or not. Its my opinion and I have every right to say it (see my point?). I don\'t mind them assembling but I hate them because they have this attitude that animals are more important than curing cancer and saving children\'s lives. I hate them because they have to shove their beliefs down my throat and that their beliefs are right and will do anything to enforce them, even if it means to blow stuff up (I downloaded some head guy of PETA encouraging people to bomb places of meat and stuff like that. I\'ll try to link you guys up).

Just correcting you. Peta is not forcing their views down your throat. Instead, they are using freedom of speech and displaying their views. Don\'t like it? Ignore them. You are making a choice to download the video of PETA encouraging bombings of meat factories. You made the choice to download that. Peta did not come to your house, tie ¥ou to the chair and make you watch it.

I disagree with PETA, so you know what? If I see something PETA related for the most part, I just do not click it or I ignore it. You\'d be wise to do the same, if you disagree so strongly.

I agree totally with you. I usually do ignore them. I clicked and downloaded that from an anti-PETA site. But sometimes I can\'t ignore it. At Thanksgiving time, my teacher (who is a supporter of PETA) passed out pamphlets about how eating meat is bad, how you would die from eating meat (that was my favorite) and all period saying how meat is murder and how PETA is right. I did not appreciate that getting shoved down my throat. It was great and all that he shows concern for animals and stuff but passing out the pamphlets and saying that meat eaters are bad and that eating plants are good are drawing the line.

You had the right to refuse the pamplet and debate the matter with her. You also had the right to go to her superior and report her for the incident. It wasn\'t shoved down your throat, if you took the pamplet, you took it on your own free will. See, due to freedom of speech, they have the right to do those things no matter how off-base or extreme they may seem. However, you also have the right to eat dead animals and talk about it all you want. It goes both ways.

I was going to say something but i forget what i am trying to say.  Titan make a good point about PETA being pushy on forcing people to believe it.  And teachers can be pushy on their beliefs too and they do things undercover.  Believe me, i had a teacher that talks christianity in class and a student was against and said that the church and school is seperate.  I agree, the law simply stated teacher can\'t talk religion in class.  At least not in a public school.  What kinda angers me are how other students was against the guy that speak up that\'s it\'s against the law to talk christianity in class.  I think i know why other students defend the teacher because they are mostly protestants and somewhat intolerance.

Man, maybe i am too nice and again because of my headache, i wasn\'t really aware of the situation.  Otherwise, i may tell the office about it if it really angers me.

Its true, you have the right to go to her superior and report her of the incident if it really angers you.  Because i sometimes realize how unfair teachers are on the students...(psstt...they sometimes do things undercover that tick me off).

I agree with you. I probably should have gone to the supervisor on him. And I didn\'t take the pamphlet. I looked at it, saw it was from PETA and said "no way". Then my teacher began talking about how meat was evil and that those who eat it are just as bad. I tried not to listen and tried not to get into a debate. But when I tell a vegetarian that I too have the right to talk about meat and that its the greatest stuff to eat, they then start to tell me that I\'m evil and cruel, followed by me telling them to shut up :)
