To be honest I\'m getting bored, GT is a great game but there\'s no way my PS2 will survive that long and there\'s no way on earth I\'m buying another of the junky things just for one bloody game.
Polyphony can kiss my arse, in fact so can the majority of other developers at the moment, they need to give a date and f*cking stick to it, everybody else does in other lines of work, lazy sods.

Are you not used to it by now?
I saw this coming. :( GT3 was delayed maaany times (first it was GT2000, remember?)
As we say:
Den som väntar på något gott väntar aldrig för länge.
The one who waits for something good, never waits for too long. :D
-
But will it be any good by the end of this year?
As we say :
This is bollocks.
Also, a 40gb HDD to be released in the States, be nice to see it here in Europe too but I won\'t hold my breath, we all know what Sony are like with PAL gamers.

Yes it will still be good, perhaps more good then if it would be released in the summer.
This is Yamauchi’s last baby on the PS2, he wants his baby to be perfect (he is like that).
I think we will see the HDD here, SCEE has been talking about it for some time, and I think Central Station will have support for the HDD.
Yes PAL gamers always get the bad deals, its called Racism against PAL-gamers. ;)
-
HDD does not interest me. If it doesn\'t have the support then it doesn\'t warrant a purchase. I have heard of maybe 5 or 6 games that use it (there are probably more) and maybe one of them interests me, so why bother?
Keep all the downloadable goodies etc to the PS3. The online network has been setup, the bugs are being ironed it, let the PS3 sort it out. Just MO.
-
This is a good enough reason for GT4 prologue to be released in europe if ever I saw one.
-
Somehow you guys are suprised by this. I just completely stopped reading stuff about the game. They know people are going to buy it no matter what shit they pull so they just repeatidly delay to keep themselves in the spotlight.
-
It\'s having the opposite effect with me, the more they arse around with us the more I feel like not buying it.
Promises promises, words are all well and good but I\'m getting frustrated with numerous games. I don\'t play words and I don\'t play hype, I play GAMES and this gen is just dissapointing me time and time again.
-
Well, if you recall, GT2 was released on schedule when it should have been delayed. Coz the game was buggy as all hell.
-
Is it just me or did GT2 not look anywhere near as good as GT1 (blocky as hell)?
I\'ve been thinking it for ages but just haven\'t asked the question to anyone else.
-
Geee... At this rate Big Log will be able to go out and buy GT4.... when its released at the same time as his 21 birthday.
Come on Polyphony whats the Hold up ?
-
Does that mean I ll need to buy the HDD to be able to play the game?Or is it just for enabling extra features?
-
The HDD...would be silly to have to buy the HFF to play the game. Probably only for extras.
I have a feeling it\'s going to be like the 64DD and "extras" that have been released in the past. 32X, N64 expansion pack and things like that. Oh, and SEGA CD.
Just need SONY to make the same mistake of dividing their market now...
-
Sony knows damn well they shouldnt do that.Theyaint that stupid.Esecially by observing how well the HDD does in the market

I got GT1 after GT2 just because I heard complaints the first looked better. I\'d say they\'re about the same
-
HDD - Failure. Sony is now trying to just sell a few more units, as opposed to none.

I personally think that they looked almost the same.GT2 looked slightly sharper though to me.

if only it was cheaper........btw:How much does a 40 GB PC HD cost??Because I have the impression its a lot lot cheaper than the PS2 HDD and I wonder if its a rip-off
-
Anyone who buys the hdd for there ps2 is an idiot.
It\'s so late in the game for sony to be trying to release it now.
Only the hardcore idiots will flock.
-
40gb harddrives for pc\'s cost between 60-70 US dollars in Germany.
-
$42 here on pricewatch. If it\'s more than $60 no one will buy it. People generally don\'t like add-ons in the first place. Expensive add-ons just make things worse.
GT4 better blow my feeble mind when it\'s released in 2010.

Totally agree, that first tahiti stage (The one with the palms) really looked awful compared to any of the GT1 tracks. The car textures improved but the backgrounds stepped back... I think it was because of the PS1 limitations at the time and they wanted more cars (600 remember) for us to choose from. Overall it was still all good:)

As for GT4... I don\'t really know if I like it or not. The rally stages don\'t like as "WOW" as most magazines are making it out to be but I must say that I like the narrow tracks (looks like it is set in Rome or something)

gt1 did look better..from what i understand gt2 was released unfinished to go on sale for that years christmas season. gt1 was the best for me..i loved buying the car and adding racing decals & tuning..it seemed after the 1st one you wasn\'t able to do certain aspects anymore.

Yeah, it\'s kind of ironic how the more advanced the series got, the less you were able to do.
I don\'t mind waiting for the game to come out as long as it lives up to the hype. So far I like what I see (that narrow track level looks awesome).
