Title: Nike "What if?"
Post by: Black Samurai on February 25, 2004, 06:14:40 PM: Has anyone else seen this commercial?

I always like Nike\'s commercials and I think this is one of their better ones. The premise of it is that it is looking at what if some of sports biggest stars played other sports. The athletes it has in the commercial: Michael Vick and Brian Urlacher playing hockey for the Colorado Avalanche, Lance Armstrong as a Boxer, Marion Jones as a Gymnast, Serena Williams as a beach volleyball player(drool), Randy Johnson as a bowler, and Andre Agassi as shortstop for the BoSox.

What do you guys think of it?

Post by: Bozco on February 25, 2004, 06:22:01 PM: I was just about to post about it. The first time I saw the commercial I ran to my bros explaning the concept. Then I just saw it again and decided I\'d post about it and ran into this thread. Probably one of the best commericals I\'ve ever seen. I was captivated, happy that I saw it in it\'s entirety before it was cut down to about half of what it is now.

^^^Yeah, me too. I wish I had taped it or something. I have been looking all over the Nike site for a copy.

Vivi, what did they do in the Adidas one?

It cost them like 50cent to make a shoe and they sell if 100 bucks.

I already think that is way too much. In the pass when i was younger i would buy those expensive sneakers.

A pair of MJ cost 165 that is crazy. I would never pay that much for a pair of shoes. The shoe he had out last year cost 199

maybe he was being sarcastic..as if to say if the shoes were made in the u.s. they would actually have to pay american workers a decent salary thus making the cost of the shoe skyrocket. But all big companies are greedy,they CAN afford to pay amer.workers & still be able to pull a profit it\'s just greed. this is probably what mjps21983 was sayin\'
