Well I got a check back from my insurance company. My car is gone.
I am currently driving my old school cutless. I had a new engine put into it. And I am also driving my dads truck when I want too.
Well I know I want a mustang. Well I only got like 7k I wanna spend. I don\'t want a car note cause I hate car notes. So that why I am not going to lease one.
And I am not trying to get another note til I graduate college.
I saw a used mustang 2000 $7500 48k miles on it.
I heard a mustang was not a quality used car to get.
I dunno I have been asking around not many ppl now much about them.
I am looking for something nice for around that price.
If I can\'t fine nothing I\'ll just save the money and roll my cutty
Help if ya can

An Accord. They\'ll last you a while and they keep their value so when you resell it, you won\'t take a major hit on depriciation. It\'s a good value beater car until you get more funds.
Thing about Mustangs are the insurance rates are higher, although the parts for it are cheaper.
-
That certainly isn\'t very many miles. You should be worried about repairs for quite a while. But then again, it\'s a Ford..
-
as with most used sports cars,..alot are usually dogged from the previous owner racing them all the time. That mustang you mentioned sounds like a good deal..i\'d test drive it. Yeah i know you really can\'t base anything on a test drive but you can get a feel for the car & sometimes you can tell if the car is tired or not.
-
I never really looked into accords.
Hey Vid you don\'t like fords? a lot of people say fords are crappy.
But mustangs are good.
Clips I am going to go look at the car today at around 3.
If I think it\'s worth it I may invest. I want a convertable.
I know the insurance on them are a bitch. But I had high insurance on a mazda. And that sucked.
I don\'t wanna rush into a car and end up with crap. I want the best deal I can get and I don\'t have to get a ford I just want something nice and runs good.

A Mustang is not a sportscar. The six cylinder Mustangs are purchased by everyone and their grandmother, so if that\'s what you\'re planning on, you don\'t need to assume that a previous owner raced it. Of course, I would never consider a six cylinder Mustang in a thousand years, but that\'s just me. ;)
You might want to consider a used Subaru or Nissan. They don\'t hold their value quite as well as Honda / Toyota, so that means you can buy a newer car for the same $7,000. You should be able to find a used Subaru Impreza 2.5RS for under $10K. That would be a fun car, in my opinion.
-
Impreza 2.5RS (like mine) has a lot of useable torque down low where you need it. It\'s like a lighter version of a Mustang....only AWD and just as quick.

I got a 96 Maxima for $4800. It\'s faster, more reliable, and seats more than the V6 Mustang.
-
I don\'t think it would be faster, the specs are pretty much dead even. If it is faster, it must be just by a tenth of a second or so.

excellent choice! i used to have a 92 maxima, not sure which has the stronger engine but i got over 350,000 miles outa that space-rocket!
-
Psh. Get an 86 Corolla GTS hatchback baby!:D
-
Ahh I\'m an idiot, I was comparing 96 Mustang vs 96 Max. It\'s still faster but yea not by much in the 1/4:
96 Maxima: 15.2
2k Mustang: 15.5
This according to car-stats.com. Just a bit of trivia, ever since 95 the max has used the VQ engine, the same used today, even in the 350z. There was actually a beta version that started in the 92se\'s (The VE) but it was tweaked for durability in the VQ. I\'m a Nissan whore.

My family has always bought Fords and had great success with them. My dads truck is a 97 F150 with over 112000 miles and it runs like brand new. He hasn\'t changed anything in the engine (except for routine stuff like oil filters, oil changes). He even has the original spark plugs in. Ford makes some good and bad stuff. My T-bird is amazing. Its fast, reliable and an all around good car for me to drive.
-
THX;
That\'s actually faster than I would have thought. Nice little sleeper.
I actually like Nissan, I was eying a 2004 SER Spec V the other day. Pretty good deal too, fully loaded with every option for 16k.
Titan;
what year T-Bird?
-
1997 T-Bird LX 4.6L V8 (killing me on gas but I dont\' care :) )
-
gas es teh suck. I never thought I\'d be like I am now, but gas mileage is one of the number one things I look for in a car....this is a dark, dark day.
-
My next car will be fuel efficient. I just want a crazy fast car as my first car. My next car will either be fuel cells or a hybrid.
-
I\'m shopping around, but the hybrids are ugly as hell. I really can\'t stomach them, I\'ll probably just get a car that get 30+ per gallon.
-
Well I decided to ride my cutless out.
I am just so pissed off. I am just going to stack my money for now. I am just so ****ing pissed.
i\'ll talk about in rants and raves.
-
just role around in your money nekkid, that\'ll make you feel better.
-
I don\'t know about used sports cars. Before you test drive it, you some how show you how they drove the car. Most people gas the damn thing everywhere and that messes with the engine. As long as the car didn\'t get beaten up and it rides smooth, go with the Mustang.
