did anyone play this game ?
I didn\'t play the pc version of this game.
but I liked the ps2 version.
When I think of other driving-action games on ps2 ( f.e :gta , getaway ) , I see that this game is not better than the others
But you must play it , if you liked gta or getaway
As you know , the story of the game happens in 1930\'s. This is a veriy big advantage . the cars , the buildings and the city.... all of them come from 1930\'s.
That is the reason why this game is very special.
what a pity , there aren\'t many driving-action games on ps2.
You might have played the pc version. I didn\'t... But everybody says that the pc version was better.
I am not interested in thoughts such this. I am a consol-gamer , not pc-gamer.
I dont play pc, and i won\'t.
If your thoughts are same as mine , mafia is the game you must buy.

I just completed this game only yesterday, and while I enjoyed it I thought the ending was a bit crap. I think the free ride mode is quite boring but the races are quite fun, especially on the full race track with the rocket powered car.
The bottom line is that once you have completed it there is no real reason to play it again imo. It just seems to lose it replay value. The Getaway also had this problem and I never played that again after I finished it. Don\'t get me wrong though, I did enjoy the missions while it lasted.
The best game of this genre imo is GTA Vice City, even though I have finished it I can\'t stop going back to it to drive around, kill people, listen to the great soundtrack etc. Being able to fly planes and do extra missions like taxi, police, fire, pizza delivery and not to mention the fun that can be had in riding/jumping the motorcycles. I never get tired of this game.
Oh and welcome to the forums btw :D

thank you very much.
your thoughts are really true , i think.
If you want to play a game again and again , GTA is the one to get.
not getaway and not mafia...
on these two games , the palygame depends on only the storyline. but on GTA , you can do what you want.

Most action/adventure games have no reply value. Unless it is sports, fighting, or rpg it usually has no reply value.
I bought GTA VC and never finished it. Why because it got so boring playing it. And killing the ppl and stuff I did all that in gt3 so I see no reason to repeat myself doing the same thing over and over again in the new one.

i agree 100% here. i never finished the 1st one,..well part of the reason was i couldn\'t clear all the missions to open up the rest of the plot & i never really got a hold of the map,..location of bridges & such..i still have it, maybe one day i\'ll go back to it. Woah! i still haven\'t finished xenogears! :D

Difference in this type of games are the realism, some gamers go for realism rather than freedom with no realism at all.
