So what do you guys think? Needs paint, though.
-
Nice... much better than stock and certainly better than some add on hoods where the driver can\'t see over the hood.
Good to see the snow melted finally.
-
i kinda liked the old vents but the new hood looks just as good... why dont u paint it black .... hehehehe ;)
-
Nice. Paint it and then sell it for a Subaru STi and never worry about rain and snow again. :p Imagine.....300 hp with 300 pounds of torque with a torque dial (adjust between 10% to 90% power to the front or back)! :D
Just kidding. Nice ride.
-
Thanks!
Giga, I think it kind of looks like your MACH1 hood without the shaker.
I\'ve seen some \'Stangs with cowl hoods so high that you can see how the driver is struggling to see over it. It\'s very funny. I wouldn\'t mind if they had a giant intake under the hood.
I like the idea of part of the hood being black but I think I am going with silver.

I see you have the CLUB

Kyoto Treaty is a sham.
-
Yeah and so is wanting to plant a series of oil wells in the middle of a National Park.
which was on Bush\'s To do list till he got slapped and TOLD NO.
-
Ignorance. Alaska has had oil plants for a long time with very little ecological impact. I can\'t see why this would be a problem now. The Reps want the US to stop depending on OPEC. You guys don\'t have a choice unless Russia gets on the ball and starts pumping oil (which you would be against).
-
Damn it, this thread is about cars!!!!!!
-
Little ecological impact ?
Please Stick to posting threads that suck and images of half naked women. ;)

Criminal Plea Agreement. Exxon was fined $150 million, the largest fine ever imposed for an environmental crime. The court forgave $125 million of that fine in recognition of Exxon’s cooperation in cleaning up the spill and paying certain private claims. Of the remaining $25 million, $12 million went to the North American Wetlands Conservation Fund and $13 million went to the national Victims of Crime Fund.

fair Enough....
We should have a Bush ..Kerry.... Talk in Current Events.
-
Exactly - we get scolded by the same liberals/greens that want to end our dependence on OPEC by pumping our own oil that happens to be in a National Forest. God forbid if you leave a footprint while you vist one of those places - some ELF members might torch your car.
-
I knew you\'d bring that up. So should every oil spill mean the closure of EVERY oil plant around the world? Is that the fault of Exxon because one drunk ass captain hit a rock?
Ignorance again : You\'re blaming the wrong source. Please climb back up your tree and don\'t forget to wear your undies with your skirt. We don\'t want to see your pussy.
-
Hey Ace post more pictures of your car - you know Core had a good idea about an automotive forum. Wish we had one.

No but we should be more responsible in our oil production and use.
For example,
[list=1]
- Oil tankers should have been double hulled to reduce the chance of catastrophic spillage’s
- Oil transport should have been more closely regulated.
- Transit routs should have been moved further away from shoreline and coastal routes
If these three simple thing where done, then Exxon would not of been holed and the accident would of be averted.
Now Gman... open wider and inset second foot into mouth ;).
-
I like that!!
Post more of your MACH.
-
I will when I get back in town this weekend. There is supposed to be a Mach gathering of 100 Mach\'s at Team Ford in Marietta this Saturday, but I don\'t know if I will be going as it is supposed to rain (the Mach has yet to see rain) and I don\'t have a babysitter for my son.

Ace...
Any Mod\'s linned up for your Bad boy ?
other than a paint job ?

Yeah, once I have the hood paint and my checkbook heals a bit I am going to put on a new muffler system and maybe headers. A new lower intake is due out this spring that is supposed to give some good gains so I think that\'s on the list too.

I\'d prefer to take it to the Automotive forum! :D

I get my Celica back out of the shop tommorw. If you all remember right, I wrecked it two months ago and just now got around to actually getting it in a shop.
Final estimate / payment: $2,300 worth of damage.
:(
-
Dang, I got my Maxima back after some lady hit me and it just ain\'t the same. :(
Question on the hood since I don\'t know a lot about Stangs: I know it looks cooler with the hood rising up like that but is it only for looks? Do you need more space under there for whatever reason?
And I hope for every dollar you put into cosmetics you put 2 into performance. ;)
-
Living-In-Clip, sorry to hear that. :(
THX, the hood is mostly for looks. I only got it because the last hood I had on had a hole in it from another mod. I couldn\'t modify the mod so I decided to ditch the old hood and get something a little aggressive looking. The rise in the hood might come in handy soon since there are some new lower intakes coming out which might need the extra room.
I agree with the money ratio, though. :)
-
That has a V8 correct? Have you replaced the ECU with a high perfromance one yet, I\'ve heard of some great gains with the chipped V8 Mustangs. Low cost to HP ratio.
-
Yeah, I have a custom chip and it\'s been my best mod so far. It\'s a V8 also. :)
So what about your \'Stangs? Any info on what you did to them. Did you run them at the track?
-
If you\'re talking to me, I\'ve never had any Mustangs. Had a 3rd gen F-Body Camaro, and a Shelby CSX and soon to be the proud daddy of a Scion Xb (they\'re an acquired taste ;)
-
Dang, I got my Maxima back after some lady hit me and it just ain\'t the same.
I got it back before work, took it for a test drive and so far,so good. Still, I expect some changes in the car now that it has been tarnished.
:(
Congrats on the new hood Ace. Looks sweet. I thought about doing something with my Celica, but decided not to at the moment.
-
I wish I had a \'stang sometimes, although I loathe american cars for the most part for their ugly designs and shoddy quality, they are still a blast to drive (except for the V6). A buddy of mine has a side business he does out of his shop where he mainly builds roll cages for 9 second mustangs.
He also spends tons of time and money on his mustang... it\'s pretty amazing. I think it\'s like a 98 or 97 GT, but he dropped a 2000 Cobra R engine into it and built his own custom turbo system (90mm.... frickin\' HUGE). He\'s racing down in Florida this weekend still trying to get a sponsor, he\'s in so much debt. He was expecting to get racing and win his money back, but he hasn\'t had the money or time to get to a lot of races yet.
You guys planning on modding or have already modded your \'stangs?

I have the usual stuff done. Chip, gears, pulleys, intake . . . Need to do more. I think I am kissing the 13\'s now but I\'m not sure. I hope to hit the track in April when they open up for the season.
theomen,
I misread your post. :)
I thought I read that you had good luck not heard of good luck.
