So. Who\'s noticed this? At least two thirds of the shows I watch currently are taking like a 4-5 week haiatus and coming back in mid/late April with a new episode. What gives? Does anyone know?
Are they making less episodes per year to save money, but don\'t want to make the summer break longer?
Are they shortening the really long summer break by putting in a few weeks break elsewhere? (this is the second time this year this has happened)
Are they just really greedy/lazy?
Did the actors guild/union make new contracts that make more episodes impossible?

TLC, Discovery, Discovery Science, PBS and History Channel never seem to run out of GREAT shows. What\'s the problem here? ;)

May is the largest book of the year. It sets advertising rates for the entire summer. March and april have always been dead months.
Plus don\'t forget you have March Madness, Hockey and NBA playoffs to contend with as well.
