Last night a long time friend of my brothers died at the hands of gun violence. My brother girl called us and told us. Since I was little I could remember him being a friend to both of my brothers. My younger sis use to baby sit his kids. He had a girl and a boy they are great kids they are about 12 and 13 now. So sad
01- cousin die at the hand of gun violence
02- one of my big bro\'s died at the hand of gun violence.
03-My cousin dies in his sleep
03- A friend dies from gun violence
I have experience so many ppl die around me in the last 5 years. I don\'t know if I have any emotions when it comes to dealth anymore. I don\'t know how to feel or react. I think life means less and less important me. I dunno
Everytime I hear about a death it all reverts back to my brother.

So true that is why I try and live life to the fullest now you never no when it is going to end. I am doing a lot of things ppl said I should not do. (Taking out a loan from school)
I may not live to ever repay it back I might as well enjoy life and do what I want while I got the chance.

Wow a guy post about death and the only thing you could find is to make fun of and incorrect spelling:rolleyes:
p.s. Ok ppl I live in america where violence takes place every freakin day.
I stay in a nice quiet community. My cousins brothers all lived in different areas.
Being in a certain area does not keep you from violence.
And in the riches places lots of bad things can happen and they do. Just not to all.
Violence happens to some and not to others it\'s all a flip of the coin

i know it can happen anywhere, but some places it is less likely to happen.... so i was wondering if there area you are in / the peep who have died where in places notorious for gun violence

I too don\'t feel when someone dies. I can\'t cry and I don\'t know why. When my friend died last year, I got teary eyed and had the feeling to cry but I couldn\'t. I was the only one there that didn\'t. At my great grandma\'s funeral a few months back, all my relatives cried but I didn\'t. I felt sad and I wanted to cry but couldn\'t. Its like I understand death and can\'t cry because of the understanding. But I\'m sure if my best friends died, I would cry. I don\'t know.

sorry to hear that Q. i remember some years back when i lived in newark i knew this cat that lived in my bldg...now he was cool as hell, and he sold drugs but you know never bothered nobody..and i went down south for the 4th of july..when i came back i heard somebody shot him. Y\'know i knew him but i didn\'t shed any tears, it was just weird seein\' him before i left and then just like that he\'s gone.
I know some here say meh i don\'t fear death..i won\'t say i don\'t fear it moreless i don\'t think about it. i will say this in the summertime in the part of newark i was at you would hear gunshots on the norm...had to get my kids up outa that s**t. i\'m in piscataway now & it\'s nicer..quiet suburbs etc..not sayin that stuff like that won\'t happen here but the chances are a bit smaller of it happening.
don\'t get me wrong i love my peeps in newark, it\'s just that some of them are wilding down there. I say that cause some people (myself) learn to appreciate the nice neighborhood they\'re in now compared to those that grew up in them. That\'s why i feel those kids that shot that school up "columbine" didn\'t appreciate what they had..just two..excuse my french"white boys" with nothing better to do than sit around all day & think up crazy s**t to do.
no offense intended :)
so qdog i know these scenarios with death seem to have you like oh well it\'s just another life, continue to focus on self and try to appreciate all that life has to offer..i know it sounds corny..but it\'s the truth.

sometimes i don\'t understand, some kids just have a very good life but they abuse themselve with drugs...
it sadden me because some other people aren\'t as fortunate as they are...sometimes, i hope someone could come up and told them to respect their body because they are living a much better life than other and that\'s a good thing...

Violence does happen everywhere but in the suburb I live in theres been one murder EVER. I don\'t grasp how someone could know more than one person thats been killed by guns.

yeah i can tell you another story..a friend of mine went to a wake of a person we both knew..but this cat was more of a friend to my friend that went to the wake..anyway while people were comin\' in payin they\'re respects..three guys come in..looked in the casket & pulled out a gun and shot the casket up. And calmly walked out of the funeral parlor.
turns out the guy we both knew was involved with the crypts and the three cats that shot him up where from the bloods..Initially the bloods were the ones that shot him up in the first place, sad really..this goes back to what i said about what those "white boys are doing in their neighborhood,..just goes to show some "black people" are doin\' shit just as stupid as those cats in the suburbs,..but then when there\'s a situation when a cop shoots a black person, these same cats are screaming foul..ironic when these same cats are runnin\' around shootin\' up each-other for wearing certain colors.
