Title: Help w/ RCA Lyra MP3 Player
Post by: IareEthan on March 07, 2004, 12:01:38 PM
I picked up an MP3 Player the a few days back...it was a Nomad Muvo, you know, just a cheap little something.  I couldn\'t get it working, so i figured, hey, you get what you pay for.  So I took it back and got something slightly better, an RCA Lyra VersionRD1021/RD1071/RD1075.  I am having the same problem with this MP3 player as I had with the previous one:  It seems as though the MP3 player recognizes it\'s connected to the computer (it says USB connected when I have it connected to the computer), yet the computer doesn\'t recognize the MP3 Player is connected to it.  When I try to transfer music through Musicmatch Jukebox, it says "0 Devices Found".  When I try to update the device, it says, "A search of USB devices indicates that the Lyra Personal Audio Player Applications is not connected to the system.  Please ensure that the device is powered on, and properly connected to a USB port".

I have tried both of my USB ports, and neither of them work.  I talked to one of my friends, and they told me that if anything new is introduced to the computer through the USB ports, something should pop up asking me to install it.  So I tried doing such with my SOCOM mic, and nothing happened with this either.  This would lead me to believe that there\'s something wrong with the USB ports themselves.  Any suggestions as to what may be wrong...or what I could do to fix it?  Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes it should recognize it.

What OS are you using?

Also, did the mp3 player come with a CD, maybe with drivers?
