Title: Super Mario: Reloaded
Post by: Black Samurai on March 29, 2004, 10:21:20 AM
It is a large file so 56k beware. (http://games.eof.net/ashke/157388_supermarioreloaded_ks.swf)

This is probably one of the coolest video game flash animations I have ever seen.

For those that don\'t want to click the link it is basically a recreation of the scene where Neo meets and fights a bunch of Agent Smiths using Nintendo sprites.

Only watched the mario thing. At first i thought it was complete garbage. Towards the end and when they really started using mario sound effects is when i started to like it. I cant say im as hyped on it as the rest of you but it wasnt bad. Perhaps too long. To replay the whole scene w/ full dialogue in the biggest and most pixelated mario grafics ever was kinda obnoxious and hurt my eyes.

I guess im alone on this one.

I agree, it was crap.  I also think everyone else thinks the same, and they were shitting you when they said how sweet it was.   That\'s up to you to decide.  :)

i thought it was hilarious watching Mario.  The reason for pixelation is probably they map Mario out of NES which was way low resolution and when Mario and Luigi is zoom in, they look very pixelated.

maybe they should of have thought about redoing them in a much higher resolution so they don\'t look pixelated when enlarge...but beside that, i find it quite hilarious.

I enjoy playing sonic too, except the framerate is jerky.  I think Sega Genesis normal framerate is 15 per second?  and this game looks like is running like 8 frames or less per second...  And I got stuck on the 2nd level so i just give up.

Well, the pixelated look was pretty clearly intentional.  I thought the video was pretty cool overall.  And as for Sonic...I can never get enough of that :)
